The Hurricane does not deserve that level of disrespect.
Very few planes can outturn a J22. Bear in mind, it will primarily be facing Il-2s, Fw 190s, P-47s, and other heavy fighter bombers.
Sweden has very good CAP options. Sweden mains, just want to complain about everything.

US also cannot get 6.7-7.0 SPAA because of ‘just spawn P-51H or F4U-4B’.
Do you really know how hard to pen a Sherman with aircraft guns?
They could get the M114 with a 20mm, It would be roughly on par with the other 20mm AA’s that sit around 6.0.

Perhaps, but that is hardly a factor when CAS can destroy a Skink with other ordnance, which a CAS plane almost always carries. So unless you’re flying a Yak-9K, you have other options. And I have absolutely zero sympathy for Yak-9K’s anyway, so that doesn’t matter to me.
The performance of the Skink’s guns is and always should be the primary balancing factor, and given the lackluster performance of the Polsten, the Skink is fine where it is.

The one ‘CAS’ (they strap a bomb to the 262 and suddenly it’s a strike aircraft, anyhow) the Skink is good against are German players in the 262 (apart from 50mm one, of course). They can be annoying when I’m in the Jabo. But yes, most other CAS will delete them (and I eat them in the Horton).
This much prefers open top SPAA…

If anything the Skink might be best going down to GAB 5.3 and GRB/GSB 5.0. The guns wouldn’t suddenly become overpowered or anything, but it would face planes that are easier to aim at, and it would also still be easily countered by most CAS.

Hardly a factor? How exactly are you supposed to get within accurate bomb dropping range of a Skink without dying? The only realistic way is get multiple teammates to distract him, but at that point, a single 70sp vehicle is now overpowering multiple 600sp vehicles.
imo, Skink just doesn’t fit in WT, and shouldn’t have been added to the U.S. tree. Its crappy guns means that no1 who plays it likes it, and its armor and turret rotation means that everyone who fights it is limited to just ignoring it. No one is happy with it in Warthunder.
Yak-9K is ironically one of the only planes that has a balanced interaction with the Skink.

There is no chance for CAS to use other ordnance to destroy Skink, even Yak-9K, the only thing that might be ME262 with 50mm guns. Or it is afk. Maybe its guns are not as good as other SPAAs, only rockets or bombs almost directly hit can destroy it.
Skink is like an anti-air fortress with mobility. Considering we have a similar gun spaa at 4.3, it is better to nerf it reload time or move it to at least 6.0, and also the counterintuitive thing is its 20mm HEI performance is almost the same as mk103 HEI at 1-1.5km, so the gun should be good.

neither of those should be 6.7 or 7.0… 7.3 minimum
M163 is at 7.3 with tracking radar and a much better weapon system.
The T100 Stinger seems like it would be fine at 7.0 (maybe 6.7).
The M19 with 1.33s reload 75mm HE-VT seems like it could be fine at 6.7 - 7.7 depending on how good its gun elevation, first-stage ammo capacity and maximum turret rotation is.
Bkan is at 6.7 with 155mm HE-VT every 3.2s because of its limitations.
The issue with the T100 is sadly the radar. Gaijin seem reluctant to add any radar SPAA below 7.3.
I see no issues with the M19 with 75mm, though I’m more concerned about how Gaijin will balance its AT potential.
I think the M113A1 with the triple 20mm is probably a better option for 7.0, no radar, competed with and lost to the M163.
