Ally identifier

Please fix the Ally coordinator in Sim battle it is too easy to lose track of targeted vehicle and since you will get banned for team killing even in Sim battle it is unfair for players

All you need is positive identification, thats on your shoulders…

tell that to lend lease vehicles

the ally identifier existed for reason, and if it suck at its only job. either remove non native vehicles from sim battle or remove team killing ban for sim battle

I regularly try to remind players in a session to identify themselves via ‘Follow me / Guide on me’ if someone near them uses this command.
There are players who don’t know this because they are new to sim mode.
So far I have not been shot down by an ally nor have I shot down an ally.

“Lend Lease” aka Export vehicles could be easily be identified by their painting or country roundel usually found on the side of the turret.

On top of that “Follow me” on Report section of the team chat quick messages is a good tool to know where you are or where a ally is. Pressing the binded key for Range finding over a vehicle you can identify if it’s a ally or not.

It is not that they are behind you it is that they are flanking the enemy from behind, and being someone who is very careful i always use range finder on them to check if they are ally or not before shooting. they have break that mechanics somehow now since if you even slightly move your mouse you will lost your tracker

As I could see I’ve got 1/3 of your ground simulator battles, I don’t play simulator battles that much because the vehicle rotation doesn’t attract my attention. But I’m not smooth brained at a point to “accidentally” destroy a allied vehicle because I don’t know how to identify a enemy vehicle to a ally vehicle.

if you are somewhat at least experienced with sim battle, Gsb to be specific. you should know that how broken the ally coordinator by now

It’s pretty fine, since the last time I played it I doubt Gaijin changed something. Ground vehicle identifying depends only on some roundels stamped around the vehicle or the painting it has. Air identifying depends on the situation.

Please man, just stop trying to give advice if you almost never play simulator.

Identifying by painting is just plain useless when your vehicle can be covered with bushes. Roundels can be covered by flags and aircraft identifying is the easiest because you can just press on T> 6> 1

please dont comments on stuff you are not experienced in

you also have radar to identify aircraft triangle being hostile or unknown and triangle with line under is friendly

If the problem is just the guy who managed to put enough bushes to hide the vehicle then put your eyes on the kill feed.

I’m mentioning Panther ‘Dauphiné’ because it’s the easiest vehicle to hide using minimal amount of bushes without compromising the operator’s sight or something else. Again, the best way to quickly identifying it is by checking the painting because the Panther ‘Dauphiné’ has darker colors and possibly any roundels around it.

Few weeks or more ago, I was on the Japanese M36B2 trying to sneak inside enemy lines and suddenly a enemy vehicle destroys me, I guess this guy, same as me can identify vehicles by their painting, even, I put some US roundels on the vehicle like the marines emblem and such.

Again it depends, you’ll not have radar on a Fw 190C or a P-51H-5-NA.

First of all

Absolutely no player will roll in Sim with their tanks naked. something like what you trying to tell above doesnt work in real time. Player will doused their tank with bushes, flags etc.

Seconds. Unlike arcade or realistic battle Sim rarely fight close the fight usually happens at long range. alright no issue there. it sound very simple just shoot on target far away from you

Third, flanking ally. some ally will try to flank enemy from behind their line yeah this is easy enough just watch them kill the enemy no issue with that

fourth, enemy counter. now that enemy had kill all your team that was behind their line some of your team may have survived

now this is the root of the issue.

Sim player always rely on shoot not shoot playstyle. you saw a tank looking at you, you will not try to take the chance if the tank look too similar to your team country for example there is sweden in enemy team and you saw a T-55 with chinese scripture around it. would you shoot it or not?

shoot it and you will get 1200 sl but if you accidentally killed any ally you lost 20k sl and chance of getting banned

Now do you see how inexperience your advice sound like?

Now you also going to ask, “why dont you use range finder and use the Ally at coordinate” well congratulation you just found the reason why this thread was made

The fact that you need to remember all the painting schemes (and pray for the enemy not to have bushes or huge decals etc) just shows how much of a failure sim mode currently is.

There’s absolutely no way of reliably identifying a lend-lease vehicle as friend or foe, and that’s a fact.

thank you finally someone who understand the situation, i dont play sim because of “how attractive the rotation were” i play it because it is the quickest way to gain points for event
