At least their opinions are kinda more “official” respond, aren’t they?
Battle Pass isn’t the only way to get bushes free… By grinding events you can get nearly everything free.
And btw, to “turn off” or remove bushes is completely another problem. Just like asking to remove CAS, remove artillery… what they want is to remove the fun, reduce choices of gameplay, and finally produce a “very fair” game that everyone use the same vehicle, same crew and same mechanics.
“Turning off” isn’t for decorations. Instead it’s for non-historical things, to make the game more realistic. For instance historical camos can’t be turn off. In the same reason bushes should never have a turn off option.
Fine if you don’t value your time.
Why does my choice of turning off bushes affect your fun, your choice or anything when they’re not an advantage? You still get to see them
You don’t play for 2-4 days and you cannot complete the event. Or you want to play air sim rather than grb and your playtime doesn’t count either.
The fun part is not “good looking so fun”. It’s that I won’t be spotted by enemies (especially when in a rat vehicle). So that I can flank or scout better.
And if they can be obtained free they are literally not P2W. Many players don’t consider this a hard grind.
The fun part is having a competitive advantage over those who don’t have bushes you mean.
And no sane person thinks that grind is easy.
How are you missing the fact that it’s FOMO and can only be obtained in a very limited time that if you cannot commit for over 2 months of daily play, you won’t have any access?
How is it my fault that I wasn’t around for the start of the northern king battlepass?
That’s how I go out dressed for battle and it doesn’t stop me getting one shot killed on many occasions.I will still have a big yellow arrow over my head because the other guy has enhanced crew skills.Have you only just discovered this game isn’t fair?
Do you suddenly win every game when you use bushes then?
That’s not what pay to win means.
I think you forum regulars need to have a think about what half the phrases you use actually mean because so much of it is drivel ,Balance, P2W etc etc .
P2W means you pay and you win and you know and I know that Bushes stuck to a tank dont make it win so drop the stupid term and the idea of P2W if it does not exist.
Pretending something is only pay to win if it’s god mode so you’re invincible is a ludicrous take.
Your bush bullshit is just that. I very rarely see anybody with a whole set of the same bushes and even those become almost useless when tanks get to the size they are at 5-6
BR .You remind me of that fool who was bleating on about removing Artilllery because he got hit once by it.
You are showing pictures of a the few fully covered tanks that exist in the game and pretending the game is littered with them. I bought about three full sets and because I own them I look out for them and I very rarely if ever see anybody else with a tank like mine or get taken out by somebody with a set up like you show in your picture and that is from nearly 14000 games
If you are an aggressive player getting in there and getting kills then dressing as a bright green hedge wont help as people will see you and fire and the hedges do nothing.
I even wonder myself if they help or hinder.I think on many occasions on most maps the bushes are more easy to spot than a vehicle without.
I would say like many I bought them as a newbie thinking that a realistic look might be fun or that being on console bushes might help but since then I have learned that experience is the key to winning not dressing as a hedgerow.
Tiny sniping rat tanks are rarely seen anyway as they exist for that reason and hide in natural cover so trying to say “Hey guys can you see the weasel in this picture” is irrelevant.
I think its a case of ,“oh what can I moan about on the forum today”
Camo should exists and it should be part of the game.
You can get bushes for free and many have. You can whine about payers but we all need them or we would have no game, Gaijin don’t do it for fun do they?
You can buy the Camos to help as well or you can earn them so do you want to moan about tanks being white on a snow back ground? So may players on here drive around covered in anime pillows red stickers.
No, pay 2 win means you obtain an unfair advantage.
An example would be those browser strategy games like Travian, Ikariam and Klánháború (I dont know if it has an English equivalent).
They’re games centered around resource management, production pipelines, timing your raids and conquest.
You can pay money to instantly finish completing units, buildings that produce units, buildings that produce resources to build more units. You can also pay money to outright buy resources to sustain more units or build more buildings.
None of these will outright win you the game, and indeed someone who is online more than you are and able to catch you unaware can conquer you.
However, I do not think I need to elaborate further to highlight the sheer advantage paying provides, and how that cannot be described as anything but pay to win.
A free to play game without any p2w elements would be Dota. Dota has strict rules around character cosmetics - their primary income source - requiring that character “Glance value” be preserved - silhouette or colour. Given the tournaments Dota is famous for - I neither need to elaborate that it’s a game that prizes itself upon being a competetive game.
LoL has no p2w elements either. It used to, whatwith the rune pages but they got rid of that in interest of greater competetive advantage.
OSRS is not F2P, but it neither has P2W elements. On the other hand, Runescape (modern) does have p2w elements in form of putting plugins and services that provide significant and crucial information behind an additional paywall (beyond premium sub), plugins and services that in OSRS are available for everyone (except mobile players, but they’re working on that).
Warthunder? Well - there’s a few pay to win premiums that give you an edge over equally skilled competitors due to being grossly under-BR’d - Wyverns vs bombers; xp-50/55 come to mind.
Crew skills are another example. An aced crew can sustain Gs in excess of 10 and complete the turn and get guns on target while a non-expert grind-state appropriate crew will black out from even a 7G turn within moments. However, I don’t complain about this that much since EVENTUALLY everyone will be able to access an aced crew regardless of when and how they play.
Bushes though are time-gated. Unless you play during a specific period of time and play 2-3 hours each day during that period, you will not be able to access it. You need level 57 battlepass, which means if you miss the first 2 months’ easy challenges you’ll be way behind. If you only show up in the last month there’s no way for you to get it. If you begin working towards it, but schedule demands you stop playing - your effort is not preserved and you must start from scratch.
They are not accessible through normal play. They are not accessible if your schedule makes it so you miss the battlepass they’re part of.
That’s the problem.
It should be something you can grind towards. Make it a 200 hour grind. Make it a 400 hour grind. Per. Vehicle/crew slot/tier. Hell, make it per vehicle AND crew slot and make it 400 hour for a SINGLE random bush without duplicate protection.
I’ll be satisfied even with that absurd grind.
But the current FOMO system is heavily anti-user.
In an inherently unfair game that is useless phrase indeed. I phrase should mean what it says. Same with the so called “Balance” I keep hearing about where people now think the game should be two side totally equal when Balance never meant that or the game never needed it or suggested it.People on here need to stop repeating the mantra and think about what they are saying and what they are asking for.
This game is now the same as it was years ago.Its Free to play if you want to but don’t be fooled that the game exists so you can buy and spend. If not you would have no game.
That was never in debate.
Gaijin want to and have the right to sell items that are special just like any other game that deals in DLC and I cant think of another game where so many entitled free to play players whine so much like ungrateful guests.
Let’s see how many people use bushes from the one game I played, about 28 players.

So roughly 50% of players are stacking their tank with bushes, I’m sure for cosmetic purposes.
This argument about Gaijin being so desperate for money that they need bushes to sell is so lame.
So it seems everybody has them so its no big deal then is it? People have access to them .they are happy but you demand their removal.I play lower down and I have no real issue with bushes. I have them and if others have them great.
Do you also cry when you are in an uptier as that is unfair? Or get killed by a premium you cant get? The game is what it is and its Gaijin cash cow and always has been. Do you think they are going to stop making money to make you happy?
I don’t think 50% is everyone.
