I understand there are some aircraft that do this naturally, I’m not talking about those.
I play a varied and sundry mix of aircraft across all the factions, and I’ve noticed the past week or so that ALL of my single prop aircraft, be it some inter-war junker to a high performance big bangin’ turboprop slew/yaw (mostly to the right, but some to the left) on power up and takeoff.
Again I know some aircraft did this naturally, and to a degree most single engine props want to do this, drastically or not, but I’ve never noticed it happening to ANY single engine prop I’ve used.
Has anyone else noticed this?
It also happens in jets, both with single or twin engines. With stability on and off.
Every single engine prop will do this naturally (except something like the Wyvern as it has counter rotating props), as well as any multi engine without counter rotating propellers. It is a torque effect, have fun if you ever try to use them in sim. Hope you have rudder pedals
Let me make this crystal clear:
I know how planes work.
I know how physics work.
I don’t need an explanation on those.
I am saying INGAME BEHAVIOR that wasn’t happening with CERTAIN THINGS is now SUDDENLY HAPPENING CONSISTENTLY and I am wondering why/if anyone has noticed.
Please refrain from lectures on torque and such.
Sometimes you have to show a picture or a video explaining the problem ;)
No I do not. You do not need a picture or video to know what yawing on a runway at powerup looks like. Don’t be silly for silly sake.
jesus this is why i hate these forums
This sounds extremely strange. I’ve played the Fw-190s, Spitfires, Typhoons and Stukas in the past week and have not experienced anything like that. All in RB. None of them have had that yawing/torque thing where I damn near crashed whilst trying out the SIM tutorial.
When I’m done doing some tasks I’ll go and look again.
