That clearly says explosive in Hebrew and has bolts found in explosive armor. The Merkava does not use pure ERA as the designers never believed in it, hence why SLERA was developed.
As seen on accepted bug reports, the Merkava’s armor does have a Chemical bias, but is still capable of stopping kinetic projectiles. The side armor is primarily for chemical munitions, however.
The engine is licence produced by Israel. Nothing I said was untrue.
This is hilariously untrue. 3BM42 is one of the most exported projectiles in the world and is found commonly within Russian supplied Arab Forces.
Battlefield data shows the opposite. While not as durable as a true composite, engines and transmissions are made of many materials and are very large. Engines and Transmissions can also be reinforced and hardened, which Israel does do.
Its the same story whenever Americans talk about their jets, it’s hard to take someone seriously when quoting things like the F-15 K/D when they don’t realise it was almost entirely due to brave Israeli pilots during the 80s and 90s completely wiping out entire middle eastern powers in air wars
Unlike you i actually have sources from government documents, and people who used to actually work for general dynamic land systems, and Tank Commanders who actually crewed these tanks during desert storm, that have TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCES. Where as you people seem to want ot get you information from gaijins b.s sources where they literally admit their beliefs are some how more valid than people who make and work on the damned vehicles. If you for a second are dumb enough to believe any of the Sep Models let alone the M1A2 Abrams could be penetrated by 3BM42, then you’re a lost cause.
crazy even when theres proof brought before you " ITS JUST NOT TRUE "
M1A1HA are D.U armored tanks. just like the HEAVY COMMON is a D.U Armored tank. All U.S Army Abrams were upgraded and modernized.
Variants
M1A1HA (Heavy Armor): Added 1st generation depleted uranium armor components. Some tanks were later upgraded with 2nd generation depleted uranium armor components, and are unofficially designated M1A1HA+.
M1A1HC (Heavy Common): Added new 2nd generation depleted uranium armor components, digital engine control and other small upgrades common between Army and Marine Corps tanks.
M1A1D (Digital): A digital upgrade for the M1A1HC, to keep up with M1A2SEP, manufactured in quantity for only 2 battalions.
M1A1AIM v.1 (Abrams Integrated Management): Complete overhaul (see later).
M1A1AIM v.2: Added new 3rd generation depleted uranium armor components.
M1A1FEP (Firepower Enhancement Package): AIM v.2 for USMC tanks.
M1A1KVT (Krasnovian Variant Tank) visually modified to resemble Soviet-made tanks for use at the National Training Center.
M1A1M: The export variant ordered by the Iraqi Army.
M1A1SA (Special Armor): configuration for the Royal Moroccan Army.[76]
on turret. What we don’t know is which variant of M1A1 was that five ‘DU hull armored’ Abrams on Armor School was, as they are currently the only Abrams that has possibility of DU hull armored.
Well many would say ‘hey SEP v3 is DU hull armored’ but SEP v3 itself is not DU armored, as their NEA armor package uses something better than DU. There are no ‘escape when hit’ on crew manual which DU armored Abrams always had.
We do know the tanks that have DU Hulls and turrets.
All U.S Tanks started upgrading the turret and the hull with D.U in 1988. All U.S Army tanks MADE/ DESIGNED had D.U Hulls and Turrets.
I haven’t said anything negative about the abrams in this thread, however I will pipe up if you make uninformed and blatantly false claims about the Merkava series
