Sorry. I was tired and in a rush. Just got back from work. Anyway, I was talking about how maps with airspawn cuts RP.
Then change the title?
I corrected the OP post instead.
Take off takes time, which gives more RP on top of take off bonus.
That was my point. I just wanted to see if others feel the same as me.

So you have got data on average match length with ground or air spawn?
Lets see it.
Every second spent alive in a plane earns 1.22 RP.
This 1.22 RP is then multiplied by activity (f(score, time alive), maxing out at 98% (I had a 3000 score 15 minute game and it didn’t go above 98%, I think it’s safe to say it maxes out there even if we don’t trust the charts due to age)…
This 1.22 x activity% is then multiplied by whether we win (2) or lose (1.34).
Finally, it’s multiplied by economic modifiers.
Now, taking off in itself can take ~30 seconds or so with engines spooling, sitting on the runway to avoid getting TK’d, people accelerating to attack speed.
While airspawn has you at attack speed (or near it) with all the formalities already solved.
It makes sense that at top tier (rank 8) that missing out on take off cuts earning in half, especially if the user in question regularly dies in 3-4 minutes of gameplay.
Solution is diving, landing on second af and takeoff again. lol
Then just land? That’s what I do. Cut throttle, turn airbrakes on, and glide onto the airfield. I shoot off a countermeasure so I can rearm, and look the right way, and then I take off. If my team gets stomped, guess what? I can just go back to airfield, land, and quit. Easy RP.
Considering a 5 min match and a 2 min take off, Yes.
it gets you moving quicker. gives faster aircraft the advantage the lack from a airfield spawn.
some planes should get airspawns naturally tho. things like A10 and frogfoot especially
