i will say at top tier its less of a protective measure, you can fly higher than the base AA and missiles can attack and just drop bombs on them, or use the aim-54 if you have that option
At top tier, you either get lasered by M247 or you can fly around with ease.
AS.34 ASM go brrrrr
also if your not paying attention to the map and your chasing a player back to their AF and get shot down i feel like that should be on you at the player
Yeah, that’s 100% your fault, but I just don’t like cowards. Sure I can ground pound, and I do if someone is camping, but that isn’t fun at all. All you have to do is fly in a straight line pulling the trigger. If you’re going to AF camp just J out. Simple as that. Don’t waste our time.
You just called me doodoo and you’re complaining about me apparently insulting (where btw?).
I’m assuming you think me stating how you play the game is insulting?
M247s got removed btw. Now it’s VEAK 40s and Roland 1s.
IMO the VEAKs are far worse than the M247s but the Rolands are still worthless (thankfully).
VEAKs tend to yeet me out of existence from the middle of the map, I don’t like them much
You’ve got it in a nutshell. Even if AF camping was sportsmanlike behavior (which it isn’t), it’s boring for the guy camping the airfield because he has to wait and do nothing. It’s also boring for the guy babysitting the camper because he has the choice of waiting for the other guy to come out, or groundpounding and then running back to his own airfield once the camper comes out to play.
It’s not fun for anyone involved.
I’ve just gotten to a point where I go for him no matter what, I know I’m going to die, but it’s better than doing nothing.
I prefer not dying, so it’s a real pain when someone buttons themselves up on the af and starts playing nascar. Secondary AF AA removal was a godsend.
I personally prefer not dying too, but I know that I can get half a pass in before my pilot gets yeetus deletus, so I might be able to get lucky, in any case, it stops me from getting a crew lock half the time (sometimes anti air counts as you crashing)

Yeah they seem to have far better aim which is unfortunate.
The thing is, they don’t set my RWR off in mid map, they just take my wing off
With the RWR rework, some vehicles won’t set off RWR.
The VEAK 40 uses J-band radar and your vehicle must be able to detect the J-band frequency. For example, the F-8E RWR can only detect E, G, and I bands of radar so it will not be able to detect a VEAK 40 locking on. I might have gotten it wrong but I’m fairly certain that’s how RWR is right now.
Tornado Marineflieger? F-4J UK, F-4M, MiG-21S R-13-300? Can they all not detect J-band?
Out of that list, only the F-4J UK can’t detect J-band radar so the VEAK 40 might just be in a blindspot. I haven’t had issues with radar detecting SPAAs so idk what’s up with your stuff.
I’m not sure, maybe it’s just the way I’m flying, but it really annoys me I have a wing one second, and the next; gone
I just went into a test flight with the FGR and Tornado MFG and both could detect the 2S6 (uses J-band tracking radar) so.
It doesn’t in match though, which is what annoys me, maybe it’s me putting it in a blind spot, but it’s really annoying
The easiest fix by far would be to add 2 more full (maybe destructible) bases to each team and completely get rid of orders like avenger and blind hunt. Making every team have 3 different bases so they can spawn or repair at different locations without the entire enemy team hovering overhead like vultures or in top tier having 4-5 people just flying directly over your airfield strafing with missiles and guns giving you no chance to fight back. Additionally, if you have multiple bases, if you land at one maybe you could spawn at a different one, but have to wait an additional 30 seconds or more depending on the map and BR to spawn back in, giving the enemy time to reposition or go after ground targets for tickets.
The best fix IMO that would help with AA and bases is to have more dynamic games with contested airspace and a teams border where like in real life you would be picked up by enemy radar and get shot at by good ground aa if you enter those areas, but if your team takes objectives and goes after radar sites on the boarders (instead of bases in the middle of the map), the AA is less effective overall and spread thin so your base or bases could be vulnerable. It would certainly add much needed dynamics to top tier Air RB and would solve so many late game issues that revolve around bases and AA in the endgames.
