The AA doesn’t magically become better when you actually help your team?
I don’t know why it even exists if everyone can just evade it.
Correct, they should just remove it entirely to save on the hassle.
I mean if you actually help your teammates such as baiting yourself or forcusing 2vs1 for enemy, the enemy team will be sent back to the hangar quikly and you and your teammates will win the game without having to land and reloading/refueling.
Not everyone is such an ultra MLG omega pro.
You don’t have good reading comprehension because I posted my stats and my kills per battle in the DORA NINE is above 3. And that is mainly in games that are DOMINATED by OP POST WAR PLANES like the F2G SUPER CORSAIR and the completely OVERPERFORMING KOREAN WAR P-51 MUSTANG.
Also my EFFECTIVE KILLS PER BATTLE is much higher because the game does not count assists as kills and does not count the enemies that I DESTROYED by baiting them to my AIRFIELD AA.
Or perhaps your reading comprehension is fine and you understand how easy AA is to use as a cheesey defense in order to pad kill death ratio and win rate. After all you are 198:0 in the most OP META plane in the game…the XP-50.
War Thunder players after being asked to show a modicum of competency after playing the game for hundreds of hours.
I just can’t take this serious anymore, in a thread about AA I’m being told to just not land.
I literally don’t land in like 90% of my games and almost never when under threat of being strafed. I either die, have the game end quickly or have enough fuel and ammo to last the whole match.
With the new gun buffs I’ve been getting 5-7 kill games in stuff like F-2 Sabre and Yaks in a single sortie.
I don’t have this problem in most jets that can actually fight multiple other planes, but in planes with not enough ammo or without the flight performance, it doesn’t help to just tell me to play sim or “get better”.
The game shouldn’t be balanced around planes with 60 rounds and players that need to land every 2 kills.
The community calls it a “skill issue”.
If you don’t want to play with awful teammates, just play in a squad with your friends who have decent skills.
BTW, it can take a tremendous amount of effort, but if you are on full squad who has decent skills, it is possible to carry the game even if all your teammates except you and your squadmates are wiped out.
So this game is only supposed to cater to meta planes?
This game has hundreds of planes of different roles, trying to make a game mode that has to cater to all of their strengths and all play styles will only make it worse for everyone. It’s like putting a bridge layer in GRB and having players complain that every map doesn’t contain a mandatory river and a protected resupply zone.
Winning the game with 4 fighters in the air?
It’s not even remotely difficult in all honesty :)

My belove MiG-17 still has very limited ammo but, don’t see any problems for playing that thing because I don’t spray it like 50cal Sabres.
My J-7E/J35XS has just single 30mm cannons but, don’t see any problems even I usually use gunfighter not IR missile bus.
I think that is exactly what this game is supposed to be right? A game with all these different aircraft, where you can always play whatever you want and have fun in it, right? And the second part of that message is just a slippery slope fallacy

And agreed it is not too hard if enemy team is crap.
There are GRB vehicles that have something like 8 rounds but no one will complain about them being “off-meta”. Either pick a something else to fly or challenge yourself to do better in an inferior plane.
