I have been playing the JA-37 a lot recently. For those that don’t know, you can select a belt of pure HEI.
Each shell has 42g of Hexal, about 72g of TNT. The amount of hits I was getting was ridiculous. 70g of TNT should make basically all planes but the heaviest bombers depart flight in one or two hits center mass.
Switched over to the JF17, shot a burst of 50 ish rounds of GSH-23 (default, 2/3rds HEFI) into a basically stalled Hornet, NOTHING. No fire, no explosion. Died because ground.
Same thing with the M39A cannons on the F5. Just hits, crits and the occasional wing getting shot of by a random AP hitting a wing spar directly.
Cannons are severly lacking their oomph if you get what I mean. Damage is extremely lackluster to the point I have survived getting hit by a pretty decent Gau-8 burst.
If you guys can’t get “”“”“”““real””“”“”" shatter to work because the games engine can’t handle more than 4 fragments per round, disable it. It is so frustratiting to work yourself into a gun solution only to get 17 hits.
Right now insults in chat do more damage than cannons.
I’ve been playing both the JA37C and D recently. Just avoid the air belt. Default and ground still hit extremely hard.
as for the M39s they are 20mms so I didn’t expect much. the damage was a bit lackluster but sufficient, and I found best results with the armoured targets belt.
We don’t care if it’s the same or different from an employee’s view code-wise. We call it the 0 dmg HE bug as long as it appears the same as the one before and not as other ones eg realshtter.
I love how at the end of the new report the manager just goes “Yeah, it’s been an issue for over a year now”.
At this point they should just disable realshatter alltogether. It’s extremely inconsistent and has zero benefits to us players, as it’s not even “real” since cannon shel don’t explode into just 3-5 fragments.
