Literally GNSS and slightly longer track time, other than that it’s just a 120C last I checked in game
You could just check the datamines, you can find their stats are identical
There is a middle spread sheet somewhere
Not sure if this has been updated, pretty sure it has

Yeah 120 A and B are identical stats wise lol
The C’s have a good amount of differences than the B’s, they have less drag, and can launch with more speed, have a higher max speed, but do have a slower first stage burn time (assuming because there is no second stage) among other differences
Edit: viewing this on my phone is no help
They have clipped wings which gives them better range at shots beyond 20km while high alt but at low alt anything withing 20km will slightly turn and be missed.
It’s a longer range 120 for clueless targets. Not worth using unless you have a lot of missiles to waste and Typhoon level climbing since you’ll be targeting other sky climbers.
Basically only a few vehicles can utilize them and even then you’d rather only have a few 120C missiles compared to the A/B
Additionally they are far easier to notch than other missiles like R-77-1 which outperforms them quite easily
A/B are BVR missiles that can somewhat do up close if you fire them at the guy not in HOBS
C are purely BVR missiles that cant do up close unless the guy headbutts it
That is how I describe them
They do exist, merely because it’s not the same experience as you, doesn’t mean it didn’t occur.
False. You didn’t read what I said.

Does R-77 give the same rwr signal as R-77-1? I cannot remember
Well yeah, idk why anyone would willingly nerf themselves by using the 120C unless you’re able to climb high and have missiles to spare. If the Gripen E had literally any amount of effort put into it I might bring the 120C but there’s no reason to given the load out restrictions.
Not sure on that one
Thankfully most players still have no idea how to notch so you can still hit people with 120C within 20km but you still need to be high up so that their mobility is restricted
I use 2 AIM-120Cs on aircraft that can use them as my early game bvr, and make sure they are both fired before I engage in WVR
Yeah I can’t climb that high fast enough to be able to utilize them
they have a much higher NEZ range at any altitude
From what I’ve looked up they’re the same rwr code, which is a little unfortunate.
As when spading my F-15E, notching was enough most of the time to simply avoid R-77s(-1s) and they were coming from both Su-27sms and Su-30s.
The ones that definitely required chaff were the mica and aim-120s fired at me, I flew pretty low to begin with, but if I wasn’t hugging the ground, and chaffing I’d always get smacked. (Notching btw).
Granted I haven’t played top tier sim since they changed the height for multipathing since I’ve been helping grind air trees with friends.
