I’ve been doing some jet testing to see if there’s an efficient way to recover from overheat wear and it seems there is.

I’m currently still figuring out most efficient overheat recovery methods but I just wanted to let those interested know that there is a good chance I will do a 6.0 - 8.7 (maybe 9.0) jet guide.

The emphasis will be on overheat recovery and incorporate past chart info (updated of course). Let me know here if there are any requests, suggestions ect.

I’m still trying to figure out a target fuel load. 30minutes of fuel seems standard for testing but 20minutes and 25minutes seems compelling.

So far it seems most early jets benefit in general 15seconds (Per color) of engine off and back on to recover from overheat wear. Like props, some recover faster and some slower. I’m still getting a general overall picture of how jets behave.

I was thinking I could post all the changes found between last performance guide and the new performance guide. I used internally to keep track of changes but I could simply click copy paste them in a post and put it in the archive section of this guide. Let me know if you guys are interested at all.

Quick update:

  • Change log will be posted soon.

  • I’ll be adding the overheat duration, recovery time and time wear information to a column on the chart.

Let me know if there are any suggestions to make it more clear or easier to read.
here is an example, notice the column on far right:

I’ve also been working on a new jet testing format. There has been some recent questions about the F-80 performance. I figured this would be a good opportunity to get some feed back on the new format for early jets and show how much the F-80 has changed, and yes it does have unlimited WEP now which you can run for 8min before needing to do an engine power cycle to heal the engine.

Here is the sample of the new jet format:

Quick update,

Of course Gaijin updated several Flight models when I did the last change log for the flight guide. Well, I waited until gaijin had a chance to correct several discrepancies and I have already re tested the updated flight models.

I will post the changes in the next week or two and update the guide accordingly.

I’ve updated to the USA module of the guide. it now has the overheat wear times by colour, recovery time needed to heal engine, and time wear details.

If there is anyway I can improve the format or make it better please let me know on the main page with a comment.

Thank you for your guides.

It’s so GOATED. If WT ever incorporates a note or a sticky note design where you can write down information and see it anywhere, anytime. I’d have MOBB’s guide immediately written over.

Japan has been updated to current format with with overheat time, recovery times and time wear.

Other nations (Italy, France and Sweded) have been updated to current format with with overheat time, recovery times and time wear.

Updated P47 AEC vs. MEC guide and moved it back to main page. It seemed kind of buried and hard to find, so I moved it back to where it was before.

If you’re playing on Steam you can actually do this feasibly and use the overlay’s new-ish “Notes” feature where you can just hit Shift+Tab and have stuff pop out, or you can pin it and adjust the opacity so it’s always plastered on your screen no matter what. If you’re playing from the launcher I think the Windows Game Bar has something similar as well.

example

It looks more or less like this (I haven’t set the opacity properly, but near minimum has the best visibility for me). It also supports images if you want to MOBB’s entire tables. I’ve found it’s way more usable than tabbing out to a browser mid-game when I forget something, it also saves itself to the cloud and lets you create multiple notes that you can switch to and from ;)
