1- Right now I can’t think of a single 12.0 or higher that is memed on by any 13.0. They’re all as-good WVR, and only slightly worse BVR.
2- Assault arcade, sim, etc.
3- Is easier to deal with on personal pressure amount, while being more skilled in awareness.
They don’t need to get 8, just give them 2 stock or whatever so at least there’s a chance to do something, it’s absolutely miserable trying to grind a million RP against this when you’re stock without chaff and have a shitty sparrow when the average game lasts 5 minutes and even with 2 kills you get like 5k RP at most.
I Agree with the YT Seek on the topic of trees, 1 either fix trees to not be 10 stories high for no reason or make trees part of the terrain which cases multipathing if they do not want to change it
Stock grind an aircraft in SIM? Why would anyone possibly be against making a plane competetive when stock?
Well its more about positioning yourself so your not going to be in that situation, doing a head on against a flanker or fulcrum, then you can expect a r27er
Even all 13.0s that don’t have AMRAAM get memed on by any 13.0 with AMRAAMs currently lol
Let alone some 12.0 plane without ARHs, and likely without even competetive IR missiles.
Multipathing is fine as it is, I think players just havent adjusted and figured out how to defend themselves from fox 3s, but I do think f14s should go up in br, their even quite potent at 13.0
Surely though I should be able to use multi-path to reduce the amount of notching, chaffing, etc that I have to do negate the effects of radar missiles as much as I can?
I mean it does exist in real life after all, and it should be implemented as such. Tree heights and other factors such as missile proxy ranges are a different issue in their entirety. if multipath doesn’t work what hope is there for stock planes or low countermeasure planes? Because if we decompress too much the F16A/ADF/MLU etc will just absolutely ruin their own BR range as they won’t be able to face fox 3’s which they can reliably deal with.
at 90 degrees to it
And then I died
2- Assault arcade, sim, etc.
Arcade would be more viable if you got 1 RP for every second in queue.
It isnt whatsoever.
Defending against Fox 3s (or any radar guided missiels by that matter) now just forces extremely passive gameplay, having to go into a notch to defend, basically makes your entire match impact go down the drain at that time, it makes 1vX unwinnable even if youre a MUCH bette rplay than all of the enemies, an dits generally extremely stale and boring to play.
It also forces you into a dogshit position to defend from IR missiles, or other ARHs, of which there are plenty of even if its just 2 enemies engaging you.
were you notching the missile? I just dodged 3 fox 3s and a r27er at the same time and got 3 kills
They also made it so 13.0 aircraft can’t play assault arcade anymore.
kind of a doctrine russia used, their planes often carried r77 and r27s, firing r27s first to force the plane into a defensive position and if that dosent kill it use an r77 to finish the engagement, thats why flankers carry so much missiles
There are over 10BRs where this gameplay isn’t the norm. I don’t know why the upper BRs having a different playstyle becomes a game problem. People just don’t like to adapt and learn different strategies.
I tried arcade recently… how the hell do we have F-14s and F-16s go up against WW2 Lincoln bombers?
BlockquoteFor example, the F-16C should get 2x AIM-120As alongside its 2x AIM-9Ms while the F-16A ADF should get 2x AIM-7Ms and 2x AIM-9Ls.
An example from the Russian side would be the MiG-29SMT getting 2x R-77s and 2x R-73s, while the MiG-29 (9-13) gets 2x R-27s and 2x R-60Ms stock.
NOTE: I am explicitly stating 2x radar AND 2x IR missiles, making it a total of FOUR stock missiles. Two IR missiles on/under the outermost pylons, two radar missiles under the innermost pylons. What I am NOT saying is “two missiles total, selecting either radar or IR”.
I am hessitant to give things planes of their semi spaded missile performance or even their fully spaded missile performance so quickly becasue for some matchups giving some planes their lower level radar missiles without some struggles can out class them vs other planes. one example is f14 vs. f16adf/aj/mlu vs mirage 2k vs. mig 29.just looking at 11.7-12.0
we already see discrepancies in power when adding free introductory radar missiles. im over looking the stock ir missiles power discrepancies and im ignoring the bison. but just through looking at specs their worst radar missiles the mirage 2k is essentially left in he dust with its introductory missile for those who havent seen or used the 530F at normal launch speeds. i flies pretty straight like a pl5b with none of the speed and it feels like if the targeted enemy sneezes and nudges their flight stick a little it will miss. the 530f might as well be a unguided rocket that happens to follow a manuvering enemy.
if 13.0 has a hard br lock when the plane has researched their top tier ARHs mabye, but in the current state you are widening the gap between 12.0-12.7 fully spaded planes and a stock 13.0 plane with similar player skill and crew skill whick would kill that br bracket.
I agree, aviation combat started drastically changing in that period developing into more bvr rather wvr engagements. People still treat it like a dogfight game, but at top tier warthunder becomes a strategy game about finding the best possible way to get your fox 3s on foreheads
