No, I am not joking. Try a lineup with 4 fighters and 1 bomber. See how you get placed on average. Don’t quit doms because the MM does seem to make a note of it somehow.
I used a swedish bomber yesterday and promptly landed in airfield domination. I wouldn’t say these lighter bombers are useless in that mode. I even got my required thunderer award there.
The only one I’m seeing is the one with single cap in middle of map - where you need to “cap” just like in a ground battle. No ground units to destroy.
Not always, it depends on what the fighters on both teams do. So those players playing a bomber that will not be harassed the entire match can simply fly straight over a base and press space and then end with a skill bonus. Can’t you really see it’s not the same thing?
I know how to play bombers and I never said it has no skill involved, the thing is without skill you cannot get a high amount of kills but even without much skill you can get a good match in a bomber, mostly depending on what other players do and how it will affect you, if enemy fighters ignore you the entire match how can you tell if it was skill or luck?
I had a look at your matches, you got a variety, BUT as you quit airdom, you got them again.
Besides, you are basically sitting in the training grounds at 1.3, as well as in arcade. The game gives you air combat to practice. The game already has too many “bomber bobs” that ONLY play bombers and quit if the map is not to their liking. See it as a message perhaps.
I just tried: With an attacker/Bomber heavy lineup, I always got doms. The moment I tried a fighter heavy lineup with just one bomber, I got ground strike. Coincidence?
It doesn’t really matter anyway, as successful bombers already get the single base destruction bonus AND the objective bonus for destroying all bases. And they are even more rewarded if they toast the airfield.
Quitting has nothing to do with it.
I played a bunch of air-doms with my Swedish team and still end up with more air-doms - the ones with no ground units at all.
You and others keep harping how bombers have it easy and win battles by doing very little. Even in ground-strike (where bombers SHOULD excel) most of the time it’s fighters getting the high scores from what I’ve seen. Fighters just stay below 1000m and kill a lot of vehicles + other planes. Been in battles that were over in < 3 min because of that while I took almost that same amount of time side-climbing so I would not be killed by a fast-climbing fighter before I dropped my first load.
Bombers only do well when enemy team is incompetent and ignore them. That is a poor strategy to hope for. Many a battle I don’t even make to the enemy base.
Actually, it does. While airdom is in rotation, you will likely get airdom again. Just as if you leave a movie and come right back, they still have the same movie playing. It takes a few minutes until server rotation changes.
Actually, the swedish bombers are about the best in the game. They are just deviously dangerous and great to play, on virtually any map. You just have not used them yet.
Yes, it seems to be that way, I once asked them if all maps had the same chance to appear and they refused to answer, which makes me assume they are not truly random. Same goes for Ground Battles, when you quit a match you tend to get the same map next, sometimes even if you don’t quit but the match is very short you will get the same map next.
As in everything in this game, it’s “random” with " ".
Have never quit a ground battle.
only differences are maps and number of cap points. Bit of a disadvantage if you don’t have a heavy (looking at you Italy and Japan) when there’s only 1 cap point, but the battles are pretty much the same.
I find the differences in air are much greater, and hence my dislike for the dom-modes.
When I said quit I really meant leave early, either leave before even spawn or leave before the end of the match, but like I said even when you don’t leave early if the match is too short you’ll probably get the same map next.
Italy has one now and people are already complaining about Italy having the best version of the Tiger. And Japan also has their own Tiger version. Both are premiums tho.
I prefer to play fighters but I usually always bring at least a bomber in my lineups, I started doing this when almost every match had thick clouds across the map, it was pretty bad to play a fighter if you can’t see anything but it’s perfect for using a bomber since you can hide in them from enemy fighters.
Have been tempted to leave early many times (mostly because of my team) in ground but I tuff it out.
Haven’t got those yet. I’m 5.3-5.7 in IT and JP. Up to this point the best are mediums that can’t survive many hits that are dished out by the tanks I face.
