Maybe I leaving this BR too long, so can someone tell me WTF Gaijin is thinking about when they try to balancing this BR rank? F/A-18 at 12.3?! Is this some kind of joke?

What’s wrong? 12.3 is a transitional BR between the FOX-3 and FOX-2. Do you know how fun it is to play an AIM-7 against an R-77? It’s a lot of fun.

The F-18A is a 12.7 aircraft, but that entire BR range is so badly compressed that any semblence of balance is just impossible
No even need uptier…F-4EJ kai is same BR with F/A-18
12.0 to 14.0 is a mess that need to be fixed
Well… The 12.3 F-18A is a 12.7 jet. It looks very strong on paper but on practise is not all that. Its decent, but the slow speed and high bleed rate makes it feel like an harrier experience.
The mig-21 bison is another 12.3 jet that should be 12.7.
Then we have a few 12.7 that should absolutelly go up, but since 13.0 compression is the highest there is, there is no real solution, which messes up everything around it.
The most oppressive jets at 11.3-13.0 bracket are the mig-23 mld, su-27 and arguably the kfir c10 too
F/A-18A is FAR from the worst offender at that BR.
F-18A is 12.3. I think you are referring to F-18C early
Nope. F-18A is a 12.7 worthy jet, it should be at 12.7 not 12.3. Its stupidly under BRed both the A & Cs are.
But 12.0-13.3 is such a mess at the moment that it doesnt really matter what BR you put things at. Its going to cause issues and have issues.

Migare 2000C-S4 Still 12.3 so there are no reason to put F18A up. If you want put f18A up, you need Migare and MIG21 go up with.
Play what you feel good with, and remember F4F/F5E and F104G are 11.0 but J7D which have better FM and kit stay at 10.7.
The f/A 18 on 12.3 is okay, it only has aim-7M. The Premium one, shouldnt be on 12.7, must be on 13.0
Personally i think discussing the BR’s of the F18 is completely pointless with the BR ranges in place, you keep them as is or move down etc they become abusive but you put them up and then they become the worst aircraft at those BR’s. The F18 is a prime example of why decompression is needed but moving them in the current BR range will just ruin them.
i just got the F-14 and ive never been so dissapointed in a plane ever before in this game. Its not even like frustratingly bad its just really really sad
