Same. Better radar doesn’t matter when you are firing R-77s.
They just need to rework r-77’s post Mach drag and they would be alright but currently they are pretty mid. Due to the shock cone created past Mach only a small portion of the grid fins are in the airflow but currently they perform as if the whole grid fin stays in the airflow creating unrealistic amounts of drag. And if they add the 77-1 without fixing this then they won’t be much different but if they do fix it they could be decently on par as the 77-1 had aerodynamic changes to help increase range with the sustainer

People here clearly not understand that even AIM-54 is nerfed firstly because they can’t model dual plane and secondly they don’t want to because even at that state people can’t defend against it and cry all day in the forums…
And we talk about even more modern stuff , better overall etc?
