if it took you that many and you still got shot down, you are using them wrong.
The IRCCM Seeker Fov on the Magic2 and R73 are quite literally the same, both have 0.75 Fov.

Its got the same IRCCM currently it should be much smaller around 0.4 not 0.75 FOV and its miss8ng its 50g pull still
Yeah it also sits as low as 11.0 when it can see planes without any CMs
Then what point is IRCCM serving?
I’ve had way more problems flaring magic 2s than t73s and I’ve been playing toptier for a while. Ik how to use flares but theres nothing you can do if the missile just ignores your flares
That may be because the Magic 2 zips across the sky way faster, giving you less time to react.
That might be it, would make sense tbh
Magic II should also make use of the AIM-9M IRCCM technique, which would make it exceedingly difficult to decoy.
From what others have said, when Magic II actually detects a flare (already difficult, and going to become more so with bug fixes) , the FoV will increase temporarily, in order to better re-acquire the target.
Just look at the end of game and see which player made most kills. The one with AIM-9M-s. And did you tried to evade couple of them? Did anyone ever done that in 12v12 game? So yes, they are overpowered.
