According to the IRL video, War Thunder is accurate.



I agree, WT seems to have nailed it pretty much. Phoenix is pretty accurate in game other than the fact that it just doesn’t loft.

Maybe think about how long has it taken for dcs to get rid of ID locking super radar head phoenix

id say the real issue with the AIm54 in war thunder is burn time

If I recall correctly dcs and warthunder use different variants of the aim54 motor, warthunder uses the mk47 but dcs uses the mk60

one is less thrust but over a longer period of time and the other is more thrust for less time, idk which is which though

Mk47 is the longer burn time with less thrust and mk60 is shorter burn time with higher thrust.

yea the real problem is the mk60 uses smokeless propellent, so they have the worse motor without the main feature of said motor.

DCS have both versions. You can bring 54A with Mk 47 or Mk 60 or 54C with Mk 60
