Not really, there’s no evidence right now to suggest the Abrams doesn’t have improved armor everywhere or doesn’t DU in the hull (for M1A1 HA, SA, AIM, M1A2, M1A2 SEP, SEPv2) yet Gaijin still refuses to change anything. It’s especially telling with the MANPADs as Gaijin is straight up just looking at the fin shapes of the missiles and saying the NATO MANPADs are as bad as the Soviet ones (despite using different fin control methods, which would make the NATO MANPADs have much better maneuverability).
There’s so many photos and proof of AV-8Bs with Aim-9s, Aim-120s and the GAU-12 Equalizer all on it at the same time that they would probably get a lot of flack if they did that
And then there’s me expecting F-15C+AMRAAMS vs MiG-31/J-8F/Tornado F.3/F-4F ICE with ARH.
Unfortunately. That is quite likely. But it really depends on what Fox-3s get added, on what and when. No idea about the F4F Ice, but the F3 could get either Aim-120Bs or Aim-120Cs. If they added it with Cs at the same BR as the F15C with Aim-120Bs then it might be a reasonably fair fight,
It might be a good thing that this new weapon system gets incrementally added to off-meta airframes tbh. If its Phantoms, Tornados and Harriers flying around with Fox-3’s first it gives them time to shine + allows the playerbase to experiment/test using/fighting against Fox-3s in WT without absolutely giving too much advantages to aircraft which are already top of the game like the Su-27, F-15 etc. At least that would be nice for just one patch, then we move on to expanding Fox-3’s to the top fighters
Yep. Im expecting/hoping that the first aircraft with ARH are aircraft like the Sea Harrier FA2, AV-8B+, Su-39, etc etc. Though im not sure how they will do it. I think its been confirmed not all nations will get ARH at the exact same time, only that the J-8F will get ARH at the same time as others get ARH. So its certainly possible that we will see assymetrical addition.
That being said, one possible reason for Gripen C being delayed for Sweden is because its getting ARH in March, that would leave less room for testing, though not impossible
it does change the gameplay: makes it even heavier than it already was, which doesn’t help at all since all the maps it gets lately are above 2km ground level. Honestly, the best thing for a plane designed to perform best within 1000m thresholds that sadly loses all aerodynamic and engine power at 3km of altitude.
