so how is the plane going to sustain 34 deg per second
The plane itself should be capable of it, the pilot maybe not for more than a few seconds
the same af istructo said that the Su-30 can sustain 24 deg per second maybe we should buff the Su-30 to that as well then
Well, there are manuals that disprove that claim no?
so tell me how the heavier su30 with the same engines as the su27s is supposed to have a better rate than it
That isn’t comparable, because the Russian guy’s claim is directly disproven by a manual, but the Raptor instructor is the best we have right now
Does he have the F-22 flight manual?
9G limits are to increase the life of the airframe, right?
We’ve got evidence that the MiG-25 managed 11G once. Don’t see how 12G for a more advanced aircraft is so extraordinary.
Edit: also this is AIM-120 thread not F-22 thread
ey, most modern planes are actually rated for up to 12 gs in emergencies. Like eurofighter, gripen, rafale, etc
ofc raptor 12 gs sustained is BS but it hitting 12 gs is I think plausible and realistic
sure it does,
let somebody post it and get this forum shut down forever
The fact is that they will only reject the bug report due to “We don’t acknowledge report based on guesswork”.
THEY ONLY WANT YOU TO GET CLASSIFIED DATA AND GO TO JAIL FOR THAT.
What’s the definition of sustaining in this case?
Is it 5 seconds or 10 seconds or better yet 30 seconds?
In this case Raptor instructor might be referring to sustaining 12G’s for 5-10 seconds.
Rather than that they just wanna keep things how it goes by standing behind that lame excuse.
Most recent additions are highly classified in most regard and it will only become worse with new additions.
Seeker activates itself on stated range, it doesn’t need to be in TRK to make RWRs yap. Therefore stealth/low observable aircraft will still get RWR yapping even when missile doesn’t see them, just flies in this direction as told by IOG(+DL).
But with a much higher chance for missile to miss
Sustained mean being able to hold that speed forever at that aoa, 34 degrees per second is simply unrealistic str, eurofighter with its ufo fm pulls like 24 in game if i am not wrong
Maybe its 34 degrees itr
Not quite true, instructors likes to use sustain term in most cases which indicates that he might referring to enduring those G’s for certain extent time.
Even if we assume he meant that Raptor can sustain 34 degree AoA for as long as it wants its simply can’t be true despite having one of the best flight performance in real life.
those multipliers are for the max allowable g load for a plane, not for their str
