Ah1g is unplayable and its really bad

the ah1g is unplayable and literally no point in being used.

no it isnt.

8.0 is filled with gepards, bmp2’s, za35’s, t10m’s, marders, every anti air possible.

you have to get upclose to the enemy to do something yet 2 machinegun bullets and you are knocked out cold

“you exchange atgm’s for speed and very good rockets”

it takes a overwhelming amount of rockets to kill something that doesnt have 20 milimeters of armor max, yet they can just shoot you once and youre dead because your helicopter is made of plastic.

i geniuenly could not care less about the maneuverability if everything 1 shots you and your heli

“you have to flank and get the enemy from the side where they least expect it”

your noise is more distinct that a tigers locomotive sounding engine.

i cannot express how bad the ah1g is due to its only possible rush playstyle at the worst possible br.
this thing needs to either become a alternative heli for the uh-1b, or lowered in br.
because the uh-1b is just better in every possible way because you dont need to sit your ass next to the enemy so you can actually kill them.

i dont know how someone can consistently use this heli, its not even playable in heli pve because the anti air snipe you from distances you cannot even fire your rockets at???
if you have a way of using this flying trashcan please say it so i can spade this crap.

Yeah, im having the same problem with the EC-665 Tiger UHT because there is just swarms of hstvl’s and 2s38’s that just obliterate you when you show any piece of your helicopter.

Atleast your heli gets HOT-3 missiles as you get bits of research, AH-1G is just stuck on dice rolling mighty mouses

Which kinda suck, but they can be used for heli pve.

Helicopters with only FFAR rocket are alway underwhelming in this game.
Due to how vehicle visibility work in this game (3rd person view from outside vehicles + sound cues)
irl tank crew would have a hard time hearing things outside their radio set within their helmet.
And can only see within his camera/optic view. Sure they can open hatch for more visibility but that would also mean more risk getting hit by rocket or HE round sending spall down into crew compartment.

And with damage model that ground vehicles can repair.
irl if tank cannon , engine , track get knockout that would certainly mean “Mission kill” and they are out of the fight untill they can repair / replace them.

Though there are some exception for helicopters with big rocket like Zuni or S-13OF . That has enough explosive mass to overpressure , create spall to knock tank out in a few direct hit.

How to address this problem ?
Add Ai infantrys + Ai soft vehicles like APC , Jeep , car + Ai stationary weapon / equipment like mortar , pillbox , MG nest , Radar trailer Etc.
So that helicopters has many other targets to interact with outside of player with ground vehicles.
These Ai should also have some impact on the outcome of the match too.

how much i like your way to fix this, its simply smth they wont add, everybody will just keep on saying “its enlisted”, just because theres another game with this type doesnt really matter if another game can have it to fix problems, add more things to do except kill people or cap zones

Welp not everybody would oppose the idea of Ai infantry or Ai AFV [see vote % most people vote yes for Ai infantry] (no player control. player can only issue simple order like go here and there and that is). Most that are against this idea are people fear that infantry will make things a lot more harder for tank to function because they think that Infantry would be OP in urban combat.

When infact with WT repair system and vehicles have much better visibility.
All ground vehicles would have to do against infantry is firing their Machine gun to pin infantry down and loading HE round to shoot at the area where Infantry are near.

not to mention AT weapon that infantry carry could alway be limit somethings like AT grenade , AT rifle , Rocket launcher , etc (No ATGM). Which will only be accurate at closer range like 200-500m and would still have a hard time hitting moving targets or penetrate heavy armor from the front. (this would also balance light armor vehicles respectively)
And the fact that most things infantry will kill are enemy infantry.
So if imperment right. Infantry would improve WT ground force experience and make each match look more lively.

AH-1G is great for killing other helis. Not as good as Mi-24D but close.
