To be fair you can guide a laser JAGM-MR from 10+km and said MI-28 cant do anything except break LOS or dodge.
Its somewhat understandable however due to the travel time, JAGM-MR (SAL) is limited mostly to anti-heli duty , depending on range.

and? its the same thing they have been doing with vikhrs for years against only hellfires

not really, depending on how effective its IOG is it could still be usable, and even if the IOG is terrible in game for some bs reason it would still be effective in masking the IR varients to make them harder to intercept

well, you’d think that, but when i tried to do it from 14km , i would have to get up to 400-500 meters high depending on the map. I would manage to hit my target but then a BUK would smite me.

thats fair, but still would be nice to at least be able to spam them to protect the IR missiles

I tried to make a report about it, took down in less than 1 minute, i suspect the mod didnt read all the way

Any update to the Apache/JAGM today? Usually there is bug fixes, new content, etc every day in the dev server so I’m curious

I mean, it Can carry JAGM-MR (SAL) on its outer pylons, i was saying that the mod might not have read because the title said JAGM-MR (SAL) on outer pylons

I honestly don’t really understand the point of the report. All IIR AGMs use the same base seeker stat (FoV: 0.1°). To my knowledge there is nothing else impacting maximum lock range on the missile side. If circumstances are identical (target silhouette and weather) that results in the exact same lock range no matter what IIR AGM you use. So why would they give the AGM-179-MR special treatment when no other seeker is modelled individually either?

Against tank sized targets that’s around 11 km, I don’t know where people are taking the 20 km figure from.

The limit of 2x4 JAGMs seems like a balancing decision, not a misunderstanding of how many can be equipped. Will probably be reconsidered based on performance figures of the AH-64E after release.

20km is in the game files as the maximum lock range for a track lock under ideal conditions

Yes, it’s that way for every IIR AGM, and it has no practical relevance for any of them. The kneecapped POINT lock range of 10 km for the JAGM-MR does, but I haven’t seen anyone complain about that yet.

I put ”i have the same issue” but could you show me before snd after so i can get a better understanding of ehat the difference is (I want the heli to look new and fresh btw)

I did the first picture was before and the one with blue circles is after take a look at the color diff too

its not like weathering is a bad thing, its just that textures in the game are universally very ass and low effort
