AH-64d and longbow hellfires

Maybe they could make it so they have LOBL instead of LOAL. Because even I think that anything in game with LOAL is a little busted, and if I knew it had LOAL before posting I would not have posted, as I was under the impression that they needed lock before firing.

Yeah, lots of ways to skin that particular cat.

One thing to be aware of is that The MMW Seeker has shorter range than the SALH, at about 6km so requiring LOBL reduces the effective range of the missile.

From what i’ve seen the missile has a range of 5 miles (or 8km) even at LOBL. The radar has just the same range as the missiles at 5 miles. Even if it only had a 4 mile (6km) range like you say that is still well within range on most maps and still be effective…

Honestly wish we had LOAL for air modes.

Not even sure it would be too unfair with how poor the speed is for the missiles, and the fact there’s a whole host of things to block the seeker with, in ground. Also would mean we could finally get the silly Radar/RWR on the CV 90120. At present the Orb does nothing 😿

For the L they have the ability to be fired in LOAL if something like the TADS is dumping a track into them before launch, meaning the TADS sets up a pre-determined location for the L to fly to and then find a target itself, similar in practice to say a AIM-120 getting pre-briefed info on a close range target before being launched and going pitbull on it but without the midcourse guidance.

That’s what I hate about the brimstone nerf.

I was looking forward to them in sim

It’s hilarious how bad the AH64D is compared to real life and when compared to the Mi28 and Ka52 (or the gaijin versions at least).
If the gun dispersion wasn’t nerfed to oblivion it could be interesting with the HEDP rounds but even at 1km you’re talking a CEP of >50m, meanwhile the Kamovs’ is like 10m. The fact that this abomination is 12.0 is one of the most blatant anti-US propaganda in GRB.

and with the RWR changes ah1z is even worse because it cant identify SAMs anymore
