sorry i misunderstand for the f15. still 16 fnf missile its quite a lot, not like 28 one on the f15e but you get the idea
Yeah, though a better method of quantity mitigation is needed. Id vote for increased SP costs if you take more than a certain amount, only way to balance GBU-59s, Spice-250s, Brimstones, Spears, etc etc
Maybe it was from this report?
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/c0wIZ1uBCdhO
i totaly agree, when i see that free fall bomb cost close to the guided one, make me go crazy
nope
thats actually a significant buff to the optics of IR mavs that went through somewhat recently
Yep, use to drive me nuts that GBUs cost the same as unguided bombs. I had 0 incentive to try using unguided bombs on the Tonka.
SP needs an overhaul
There we are. Thank you for fowarding this.
thats not what caused it though
that is a buff to the optics, not a firing angle limit
The last two quesitons still hold
- Where is the evidence and cause for change in AGM65 FoV?
- Why are Russian equipment getting better while American are getting worse?
As I understand it, American equipment being classified gives little evidence for Gaijin to be able to impliment accurate representations of equipment being used.
However, seeing as how Gaijin seems to freely get material that discloses Russian/soviet Equipment:
How is it that russian equipment is deemed to perform overall better than American, and perhaps other classified equipment?
Welp. I suppose the second quesiton is still open
Assuming the bug report clarifies the FoV of the AGM65 is reduces in size which inhibits players from firing without having to directly point the nose in direction of the intended target to be able to fire the missile
nope, the bug report reduces the FoV of the optics, not the gimble or launch limits
in simpler terms it increased the zoom of the seeker on IR mavericks
The issue is… complicated…
True KH-38 equivalents dont really exist. Its an entirely different class of weapon that could be considered more akin to a small cruise missile or modified anti-ship missile than an ATGM.
The closest equivalent for the US might be the AGM-84 SLAM, at least for a longer ranged, IR+IOG+GNSS weapon with a decent warhead. No one knows why it hasnt been added yet.
Another option could be the GBU-53 Stormbreaker, though much like Spear-3s these will likely be denied due to having too much range (though less than the KH-59) There is also the balance issue regarding large numbers of FnF Weapons, though this could be resticted as we saw with the Spice-250 on the F-16I.
There is also the GBU-39B for a GPS+SAL weapon option, not FnF but would give a bit more standoff capability and accuracy over the current GBU-39
There is also adding a new class of weapon, the Anti-Radiation missiles. These have been confirmed to becoming first half of next year, so that will add AGM-88 HARMs to the US. How effective they will be though will remain to be seen.
But the US is not alone, many nations are reliant on AGM-65s for their FnF option and its outclassed everywhere and getting replacements is proving impossible. Like getting Brimstone Upgrades for the Typhoon or an FnF alternative.
not aware of AGM65 nerfs but good god the AGM65B shouldnt be appearing at 10.7 and 11.0 on the hawk 200s, they are extremley bad at getting locks and tracking, the 65D should be bare minimum for such a high BR on such a trash airframe
Agreed. I see this issue also persisting in other nations as well. And it should be clarified by myself that the premise of the forum was mine being finding out the sudden limitation of the AGM65.
Especially the lack of a FnF for brimstones.
I have renamed the Forum as approriately as I can since we are speaking about a specific mechanic
Are you tryna say the reduced FoV was a nerf? Cause that’s quite the opposite actually.
I think OP is confusing seeker FoV for either Gimbal limits or firing angles.
You are correct. It seems referencing to it as gimble limit to be able to fire AGM is what I am referencing
Wow, that actually seems like it performs much better. It hitting anyways
