you need to have target much closer to boresight to launch now than you used to
yea the white rectangular box visible while in the AGM65 view that indicates the launch angle is what I meant, I am just not sure if the limit itself was there before the box was made visible. From my experience I feel like the launch angle is definitely smaller, which is annoying because it is angled upward for some reason and often times it gets in the way, requiring me to pitch down.

Yea this is frustrating aspecially on A-10 where the AGM65 is mounted downwards for a reason:
‘The missile is designed to lock onto targets that are in front of and below the jet, so the pilot can use a more shallow dive when deploying the weapon, instead of pointing their nose directly at the target. Because of this, you want the boresight to have a depression angle of quite a few degrees below the centerline of the aircraft.’

Yes, in real life, Mavericks can fly 39 km, but in our game they barely cover 15 km. Tests show that Mavericks conserve energy during very long launches, meaning their engines last much longer.

Yeah I’ve been watching Corb, a WT content creator that focuses on CAS. In his Su30 video from a little more than a week ago, you can see there’s no launch zone limit for the Russian ATGMs. In his F15E video from approximately two months ago you can see the launch zone limit for the mavericks. In an F15E video before that one (maybe 4 months ago) there’s no launch zone limit. So they definitely changed something. Thought i was going crazy but I found this forum and went back and looked at those videos.
It’s frustrating that the Su30 can launch from almost any angle and the missile will pull to the target no problem.
I hope Gaijin can add something/or tweak the current load outs for all nations so it’s competitive with Russian CAS.
