you need to have target much closer to boresight to launch now than you used to
yea the white rectangular box visible while in the AGM65 view that indicates the launch angle is what I meant, I am just not sure if the limit itself was there before the box was made visible. From my experience I feel like the launch angle is definitely smaller, which is annoying because it is angled upward for some reason and often times it gets in the way, requiring me to pitch down.
Yea this is frustrating aspecially on A-10 where the AGM65 is mounted downwards for a reason:
‘The missile is designed to lock onto targets that are in front of and below the jet, so the pilot can use a more shallow dive when deploying the weapon, instead of pointing their nose directly at the target. Because of this, you want the boresight to have a depression angle of quite a few degrees below the centerline of the aircraft.’
