AGM-65 Reduced Gimble Limit & How Gaijin Makes Their Changes

User error likely, that crosshair you can drag when you fire an AGM-65 impacts where it hits.

This was done to basically every air to ground weapon.

Okay, that makes things much better and easier for an answer.

Where did gaijin get the data to reduce the FoV targetting box?

I don’t know but on basically every plane, you have to point your nose at the target to get a good lock.

Partially correct.

It has IOG.

IOG will go to the targets last known intercept point, whether that is stationary or if the target is moving.

When you smoke, the missiles IOG takes over and so to defeat the missile you either need to stop moving, smoke and then quickly move or smoke and move in a different direction, otherwise the missile will still impact close enough to you to kill you. Compared to AGM-65s that self destruct in this scenario, its a major buff.

(They also have GNSS, so they can be fired at a fixed location from long range without a weapons lock or even line of sight and they’ll quite comfortably kill lightly armoured targets in that area. Seen it more than once against the new SAMs)

Couple with the large warhead, large enough that a direct hit is not required and the sheer speed of the missile that makes reacting in-time hard…

it will routinely kill through smoke.

as a final nail in the coffin, it will relock if the smoke clears or you move out of the smoke

So its not able to track you through smoke, but its the next closest thing

I believe that’s already known knowledge

It feels worse than it was a few months ago, could just be me.

An a special question I’d like to tag onto that effect-

Is the KH missiles (knowningly not in service) based off data gaijin references?

Hard to tell whats just the result of having to face far stronger SAMs or actually a change

KH-38 is real.

But IRL only the radar guided anti-ship version and SAL versions exist

The MT, the IR FnF version, no evidence exists that it is actually real bar a mockup and a brochure.

This is a good read:

Got closed, and the Forum mods close any other thread regarding the KH-38MT as being duplicates.

Interesting.

Thank you very much for referencing that forum. That makes it all the more curious why a missile (MT version) which was never used or mocked up would be put on the live game.

Then again, arguments could be used of removed blueprint vehicles to play it’s case.

Though, I’d be mistaken if I had thought the poll could cause some change. Even if I wanted it to.

everything exist its just the ir seeker that dont or we have no rpoof of it existence

Spoiler

And despite sources stating that Spear-Glides exist, just not been tested yet, Gaijin refuses to add them as “not enough evidence exist that they are fully functional”

you forget to mention that a bunch of forum mods brigaded the thread to close it

Question 1 has been answered.

-Question 1’s Answer

Bringing more attention to quesiton 2:
Where does gaijin get data to produce such changes to AGM65 missiles (FoV)?

Yeah that too. I once DMed a FM about what threat they were referring too when they closed a different KH-38MT thread and said to use “existing threads” , never got a response

Curious

yea but that the thing, it use the same fire system on all kh38, we have proof of the kh38ml but not mt but we know it can use as its the same fire system,

now idk about the spear, i know for 100% its for balence as even the f16i got only 8 instead of 16 spice250. they may come but in low number for sure

That still beats out the currently 0 FnF weapons we have

no ? 6 agm65

Sorry, referring to the Typhoon that would use Spear-Glides.

Currently we have 0 FnF weapons
