AGM-123 is unaimable in SIM due to it being a ATGM not a Bomb

Aiming the AGM-123 is impossible to aim in SIM and using it at its max range of 20km is next to impossible as well.

Using CCRP or CCIP does nothing to help unless you attack from an 80 to 90 degrees down. The impact point is so far below you on the HUD you can never get it in the fame in an attack run unless you want to die to an SPAA,

Aiming or knowing when to release the AGM-123 is down luck, unlike any other plane ATGM or Bombs in the game you have to calculate Air craft pitch, Speed, Height, and Weather, this gives the player attacking ground targets an unfair playing field the same fairness as all other Laser-guided bombs should be implemented here for the AGM-123

Well, if we had any basis to calculate this, I’d actually enjoy the challenge. But sadly we have zero information to base any calculations on.

I once tried to guesstimate something from various graphics I found, creatively and “frankensteinly” mixed this together with some basic ballistics physics, to create charts to determine the zones (ground distance and LOS distance to target) in which a GBU should be able to reach a target depending on speed and altitude, but that was veeeery basic and couldn’t take into account any differences in gliding properties of the different weapons, as no such info is available in WT…

Sadly, I currently can’t find this anymore… = /
