My fault. I guess I just got spoiled playing the earlier War Thunder. After I left War Thunder 8 years ago, I decided to learn to fly a F-18 Hornet in DCS. Toughest thing I ever did and I have multiple college degrees. Learned a 660 page manual. Took me 3 years. I got used to the historical and technical accuracy of DCS. Not for whim’s. There is no balance. Being a video gamer with fast reflex’s doesn’t work there. However, you do get points for returning in your aircraft alive! Then learned the Mosquito. Very hard to taxi, take-off and land. Finally my neurological disease messed with my hands and gave me a terrible tremor/shake. No longer able to use a hotas/joystick. My fault. I was expecting too much from War Thunder. The good old days of the earlier War Thunder are over. Old Tankers never die…they just fade away.

Well… thing is if some are all about Stats, then they should really be in a like minded Squad and work together
Game is for Fun, so cant blame others playing just for fun and not getting all serious about game stats
ive carried the team countless times when I flew my bombers, and no one was taking out the enemy bombers with insane payloads :P

The issue I’m distinctly referring to are those who blame the team on the regular, think of themselves higher than anyone due to thier stats, and from there, any advice from a lower individual is proven to be ‘wrong’ by their stats, no matter the points, or encouragement made.
These kind of players are in abundance here by the seems of it, after all, any mentioning of telling someone to use SPAA to stop CAS, is immediately pounced on and shat on by these types of players.
They IGNORE the points made in a DISCUSSION, so they can RAILROAD it into the mire of moan and complain that we see on the regular… It’s dumb to think that there’s any discussion allowed with this nonsense.
You try telling those that I’ve reported to you individually about, that that’s the case then… I’ve basically left the forums because of them, and the fact is that now I’m rancid because I just literally dgaf anymore for ‘‘niceties’’…

The only solution is to go back to the original War Thunder. The way it was played during it’s first two years. That would solve most if not all the problems. I would give up all my tanks, account, and everything if I could do just that. Start over new. Many people who have left War Thunder would come back. I came back a month ago to check it out. It seems nothing got fixed. Only worse. The only fix’s have been cosmetic. Now I have a bad taste in my mouth from this last experience. I want the old War Thunder back.

I dunno actually, I feel more of these players need to be muted and actually held to what they say and why they’re saying it compared to going back to the old.
If it was about the players last time that you left, then it’s going to continue being the players.
It’s almost like the inconsistancy has festered. I’ve been muted for actually having a discussion about something that was troubling another player, and we both got muted to ‘stop it’ rather than making a stand about something so trivial as suggesting people to play the game differently to the way they’ve ended up having trouble with.
What are you on about? I rarely see a large map at 11.7
But it’s still a load of toss. Ground RB rewards are a joke rn. Non-competetive jets like the Harrier GR Mk 3 still have a repair cost of 12K SL (not ideal for ~1 kill per game). And loot crates give out rewards that I consider actual sewage waste.

I play on high graphics and don’t have trouble spotting tanks.
I don’t really understand why you seem to accept that you’re a poor player that brings statistics down, yet make excuses that you’re playing on “maximum” and you can’t spot tanks because of it.
I think you should just fully accept the fact that you’re bad at the game, and then take action and get better at the game. The main tips for RB and Simulator (the only actual gamemodes) is to know your positions, always try to push to areas where enemies congregate (by moving through cover), and pay attention to sound. Sound is the most important spatial recognition you have.
The main problem is in Gajin, they have no end game if we do not take never ending grind and walet focus as it. There should be mods for players who want to play on higher level then standard random guys like you, which just want to have some fun.
So do not blame yourself or do not be mad on players who take it to serious in your opinion. Gajin is the one to be blamed here. Dude in 12 years they were not able to upgread chat client to 21th century standard. They have created MMO game, but are not able to add filter into chat client, which will censor some words. They bann , like in soviet russia, or 15 years ago in other videogames.
No mate it is not your fault, you should also understand other player who will blame you because of frustration from lose. But always keep in mind, Gajin is the one who is failing in this. They are glitched in 20th century.
It’s people like you others are complaining about. Self righteous superior attitude. When you get into your mid 70’s and are slowly dying of a uncurable disease…well then we will have something to talk about.

My dad is 74 years old, I’m 23 years old - and he’s got better faculties and is in better physical and mental shape than me. And I don’t think I’m in a bad state - it’s more of a testament to how capable someone can be even in their 70s (if you actually are in your mid 70s).
Not everyone is that lucky to have such good health at their 70s. Be respectful bro.

After reading posts on this forum, I am shocked by the things being said to each other. The horrible comments made are far worse than they were years ago. If this is what War thunder has become. The good players verses the poorer players. I don’t want to be here. I came from DCS where the player base was always helpful. Always kind. Always ready to help someone with a problem. Always accepted suggestions and discussed ideas for everyone’s benefit. The difference between War Thunder today and DCS is as different as night and day. Sad what War Thunder has become.

I play everything maxed but I would recommend sliding back the grass render range a bit, it will help you spot par better. I do also recommend turning off grass in gunners sight. But those almost no one runs on and it will effect your experience a lot regarding effectiveness.
