I did not want to say names lol. There actually has been a couple of times I’ve agreed with Alvis on things.
Alvis has his moments sure
I say, if Alvis wants the dislike button, we add it.
The only issue is we will need an upvote button to counter downvotes, but not like reddit where they cancel each other out.

bro i pinged him, so why wouldnt he?
thank you for coming over here alvis
Considering I have seen hate directed toward thousands of posts pushing for BR decompression, better rewards, opposition to airfield camping, and countless other fantastic takes…
It’s obvious to me that a dislike button would just be used to bully everyone with good takes.
Including yourself, @SchwerPanzer , and so on.
Statistically speaking, I agree with most of what yourself & SchwerPanzer believe.
Most doesn’t mean all, & I’m certain I’ve probably spoken on our minority of differing opinions more than I have shown my support for the stuff we agree on; I’ve been making sure I illustrate my support more often this last year or so, cause telling people the truth that I agree with most of their positions after they’re already stressed hasn’t helped calm their nerves previously.
Heck @iegaatdao is already falsely accusing me of things despite my agreement with every great take I’ve come across.
I haven’t been the most articulate in my few disagreements, but all those disagreements were from a respectful outlook on the person I had a differing opinion on a subject about.
Even when I made mistakes & got emotional when I shouldn’t have.
sometimes it does feel like you comment stuff to make it earn that reputation in my eyes.
Well I guess you simply avoid the “black and white” nature of conversation in here a lot more.
So dislike button yay or nay?
shamelessly pinging ppl lol
On a serious note, i guess yea… you have good points?
I feel that if the community genuinely does want any of these “great takes” then that is the will of the community and it should be respected…as long as it isnt just bait
dislike button yay or nay?
I just want good discussion and to learn things from others.
I’m sorry that my mistakes may have influenced you to believe I’m not trying my best to just discuss, share, & learn.
I can do my part and learn from the mistakes.
My concern is that you’ll get targeted too, and I don’t want that.
I don’t want anyone targeted, because I’ve seen 2nd hand so many times people get targeted, falsely accused, & shut down.
People I disagree with, people I agree with, people whose opinions were already hidden before I got to the topic… tho in the latter’s case it was likely an insult that got those posts hidden to begin with.
I can cope with people believing what they want about me, but if some civil dude gets bullied off the site because their civil opinion was deemed “awful” by dozens of people, that’s one less perspective for me to consider whether I agree with them or not.
@RDXRooster63
No to a dislike button, people should just share their opinions & provide their honest perspectives, adding to the discussion.
Tbf this forum isn’t made by gaijin, it’s a host site, Generation Zero also uses the same Forum
I’d have to say no. It’s one of those things that sounds good in theory, but wouldn’t be very good in practice. This forum absolutely would develop a reddit-style culture around its addition where collectives of nation mains would attempt to mass dislike posts and individuals for having mildly unpopular opinions or stating uncomfortable truths, or literally just for existing in a discussion.
Even if the dislike metric doesn’t actually shun people from speaking their mind, it’s still just breeding unnecessary toxicity without providing meaningful utility to regular users.
alvis
Exactly. This post is giving big Reddit energy.
puppygirl and gxneraleagle-live
how could i forget lol
Puppygirl is the one who thinks russia needs a serious amount of buffs at top tier right?
Looking at you Stona
Bad idea. The toxic Russian mains mafia would abuse the crap out of it with mass bombing before you could blink twice.
A ton of Games use that for their Forum not just Gaijin
