About Israel's non-IRCCM Python 3 at 12.3 BR

Gaijin needs to add the Python 4 into Israel at the 12.3 / 12.7 BR jets. Before continuing, let’s do a quick analysis of IR missiles for other nations at or around the same BR:

The Israel Netz Block 10 and premium Netz Mod is 12.3 in Air RB. At the same BR there is:

  • In Sweden the JA37D is slightly lower and gets RB71 Dogfights with PD radar.
  • The French Mirage 2000C-S5 and 2000C-S4 and 2000D-R1 all get Matra R550 with IRCCM and the MiG-21 at 12.7 get the R-27T1 with IRCCM.
  • The Chinese JH-7A (including the premium Prototype version) at same BR gets PL-5EII with IRCCM.
  • For Japan the F-15J at 12.7 gets both AAM-3 and AIM-9M with IRCCM.
  • In Britain at the same BR the Harrier GR.7 gets AIM-9M with IRCCM and the Tornado GR.4 at the same BR gets those too. The British Mig-21 Bison gets R-27T1’s.
  • In Russia the Su-25T, Su-25SM3 and Su-39 ALL at 11.3! BR have R-73 40G IR missile with IRCCM and the Russian 12.7’s all get IRCCM.
  • In Germany the Tornado IDS SLE at the same BR gets AIM-9L/I-1 with IRCCM.
  • In USA the A-10C at 11.7 BR gets AIM-9M but it’s slow so understandable but the 12.7’s do get AIM-9M’s but below that USA is the 2nd most shafted nation.

Israel in first place for the most shafted nation, being stuck with non-IRCCM Python 3 and no SARH missiles. Even the Kurnass 2000 (Phantom) doesn’t even get the AIM-7E-2’s it only gets non-IRCCM IR missiles.

All that said, the Python 4 needs to be added to Israel.

At the same br btw:

My last bullet point says “USA is the 2nd most shafted nation” so yea, adds up.

At 12.0 at least USA gets the F-4J and F-4S with SRC PD HDN radar to pair with AIM-7E-2. Along with the F/A-18A at 12.3 with the AIM-7M.

But Israel doesn’t get any SARH missile to use with their PD radars, that’s what puts Israel in a worse place. The BAZ at 12.7 is the only saving grace around that BR but still I think something needs to be done about the 12.3 jets.

I usually play my Netz with P3s and it holds up really well, you need to play them as silent mid-range missiles at height advantage and preferably side aspect—but you can do front aspect from above anyway—, so people can’t see the diamond warning, your missile can go through thinner air and dive to the target.

Silent IR kills are the best when properly played, as they virtually have no counterplay without a MAW system. P3s are better AIM-9Ls for most of purposes except relatively close range where 9Ls pull slightly better (but then P3s pull harder as range grows still).

Did you know that there are more nations with the f16, the nezt is already better than the 12.4 f16A on the US or france? If you give it python 4 it will no longer be 12.3 it will be 13.0.

France has the Mirage 2000C-S5 and 2000C-S4 and 2000D-R1 all with the Matra R550. However I am on the boat about the F-16A Block 5 needing to be lowered to 12.0 from 12.3, no change to the Block 15 since it gets AIM-9M’s. But yea France is doing fine with three Mirages.

If you lose to any of these in Netz, better missiles wont save you.

Sure, stronger missile payload. No contest there. But none can dogfight EFT and win. The netz (and US and french 12.3 F-16As as well) pays a tax for its FM, even if FM alone wont decide the battle.

The issue is that Python-4 is really strong, even if it had the same level of IRCCM as Aim-9M, Magic II or R-73. Its kinematically very very good and could end up too strong. Its akin to ASRAAM, IRIS-T, etc in all but seeker

Though, tbh, I think the Netz are fine, as they share the same BR as Aim-9L equipped F-16s and Python-3 is stronger than Aim-9L. Plus the premium Netz gets 3x the CM count too. The issue is compression.

(In effect saying the Netz are weaker than the Tornado GR4 rather thorouhgly destroys your argument here)

The Kurnass 2000 should move down to 12.0. But the Netz are perfectly acceptable at 12.3 alongside every other Aim-9L F-16. At least until decompression and then the Premium Netz should actually sit 0.3 higher than the TT Netz or other 9L F-16s

I mean, its only a hair stronger then the AAM-3 should be, and we have that in game.

Sure its just cause gaijin didn’t realize the AAM-3 was that strong when they first implemented it, and then haven’t gotten around to fixing it, but still. I really do think its about time we get the the stronger end or 4th gen IRs, especially with us now well halfway through 4.5 gen aircraft.

Sure, but the Netz wouldnt remain at 12.3 though

" the F-4J and F-4S with SRC PD HDN radar to pair with AIM-7E-2."

I’m sorry why in hell are you using dogfight sparrows on the F-4S/J when they get 7Fs

They got 2 of them, not to mention that the python 4 are far superior missiles whith stronger irccm, there is no way that they remain at the current br

More than the netz, this would be more fitting for the Colombian Kfir C.10 which p3 are unrealistic, bc IRL it only used p4 and p5s. Also Kfir got uptiered to 13.3 with only 4 pylons, so it should recieve something in exchange.

Also the Kurnass 2000 that for some reason its playing along with Hornets, Miggers and Sukhois, even tho no radar missiles nor IRCCM missiles. Having a worst airframe for dogfights than the F-16A.

Finally it would be a nice buff for the F-16I that faces rafales and such, and no AESA in the horizon.
