I do sometimes wonder. I also wonder sometimes what priority the actual game takes in all this.
Careful, a mod sees you questioning the great snail this thread will get taken down.
you mean the game that likely generates the vast majority of their income, and which people continue to pour thousands of $$'s into every day despite apparently all hating it so much??
I’d day it’s fairly high priority :)
Buddy this would be great… but this will never happen if it does not directly benefit gaijin first and for most it will never happen.
A huge money maker for them is the horrible grind to get the one vehicle you want to play, they sell premium time and premium vehicles to lessen this.
It’s not exactly what you’re asking but I’m fairly sure the Convertible RP system was designed with this in Mind.
I mean i understand your motivation but at least in theory the grind through BRs should help you to improve your own skills as the increase of flight performance between BR 3.0 and 6.0 is significant.
This learning experience is even more important as the flight performance of your airborne enemies increases too.
And (ofc) you imply indirectly that in Ground RB there are no experienced pilots active (which might try to kill you) and CAS is nothing more than a plain power-up to bully enemy tanks and there is no need to acquire improved pilot skill.
Yes.
It depends on who you ask.
Imagine a pure pilot would feel the need to use the @ULQ_LOVER strategy (spawn in a fast reserve tier tank, cap and spawn in as a fighter) and farm all of your team mates.
Imho the issue is that most players don’t even want to enjoy Air RB, but they are forced to play there, i tried to summarize this in a parallel thread:
Finally:
As a basic rule:
Things which benefits players are usually not in gaijin’s interest.
The whole game is designed around the grind aspect. So the sheer possibility to buy a specific TT vehicle would endanger their business model. So it doesn’t matter how much you want to pay for such an option - gaijin has to consider the effect for their whole game.
I am not really sure why you are fixated on this thing, Skyraiders are one of the easiest kills for enemies, all they have to do is to drag the fight into vertical manueuvers and they lose immediately any speed & energy.
Imho the post-war premium F4U-4B for xbox is the far better aircraft. You trade the slightly higher payload of a Sandy against a very fast fighter which has 1.4 metric tons of payloads and is able to outrun enemies if you dont want to dogfight. 30 € is a fair price - and you have less spawn cost as it is a fighter.
Maybe the fellow player @ULQ_LOVER can share some vids - i saw some of them in which he murdered effortlessly whole lobbies.
Have a good one!
Wouldn’t that defeat the entire idea of the game, having to grind to specific vehicles and learning different aspects of the game and how to effectively use your weapons?
Not a good idea
It will fill top tier in noobs even more then now
Your text wasn’t very clear. Just so we’re on the same page, you’re saying we should be able to purchase a vehicle without purchasing the previous one? (only researching the previous one would be required)
ah they do that anyway : ) have been for ages
Come on mate ,you know the actual battle itself is a massive let down and hasn’t changed in years.
Yes you may be right there : ) I do think a buy it now option for any vehcile in and around where you are would make money for them where it currently does not at present has to be of interest to them.
You will always have to grind to a degree with this ,unless you are so exceedingly rich you can buy an entire tech tree. We are all in competition with those who see money as no option any way. There are those playing who can never pay for anything including premium time.
True, this is covered by all the agendas people may have for playing the game other than jsut playing and enjoying the game. Again not sure if it is particularly good or bad but many forum members seem upset by certain behavior in the game.We never dive into why it actually happens,we just assume every player is in the same place in the game.
I think that business model would stay but this just allows the occasional short cut and everything Gaijin already sells is just that already. This is an antedote to a problem that is in the game already. You might say I managed my RP and CAS badly and that is true.If I redid my account form sctratch things would be differnt. So would my stats ; )
My main concern would be overcharging and asking outrageous prices for almost anything ,when you convert real cash to GE or vice versa. However people seem happy to pay them so…
I’m using that as an example .Every bodies story will be different.
Most CAS for GRB is a bomb carrying brick made for two minutes of fame if you are lucky and as for flying skill, like we said ,do you think we all lawn dart intentionally?
You could say that about anything that you can buy in the game.
No the OP could have been better for sure. I am talking grinding as usual in every way but having a BUY NOW option so you can level up CAS with land vehciles or vice versa if you are flyer who never bothered grinding or playing GRB much but then gets into it.
Like I said, my CAS is miles behind my ground forces.I fly a 3.7 P47 in 6.7 French GRB for example.I mean I make it work but that is not the point.
I am at around 6.7 in every land nation but quite a way behind in terms of the aviation .Grinding planes is painfully slow when you dont play air much and terrible with no premium.I also (quite rarely) have SPAA that is also a long way off as well.
So I am saying that once you physically reach a BR you could in theory unlock any thing below with cash and get a level line up of Land, CAS and SPAA without having to wait months to get it.Maybe on occasion you could also use this feature to skip and vehicle you dont want to grind or even buy.
I solved that issue by simply grinding air and ground equally.
Good for you bro, well all just start again then shall we ?
You can if you want. No1s stopping you.
Yeah thanks for that.Missing the entire point of a post is really useful.
It’s the solution to thine problem though.
It is indeed to be fair.My line up management or lack of, is indeed part of the problem.
I came to the game with zero knowledge of it and just muddled along.
If started again I would lose everything I paid for and earned over the years.I am sure my stats would look fantastic though knowing what I know now.
Well them maybe you should advocate for Gajin to properly educate new players on creating proper lineups.
Maybe we could create a WarThunder forum to make suggestions and create new ideas and put them out there…oh wait! : )
Major problem with this is Gaijin would lose money from new players knowing better and not buying premiums.
