“AA Spam Is Training CAS Pilots”

LOL what ever helps you sleep at night

And Im looking at this from both aa and plane perspectives because I utilize them both in game.

Fair enough, I Don’t have many of the New SPAAs unlocked and haven’t played any yet, but I Have zero issue not dying to then in a plane, they are annoying and make it harder to get kills due to their ability to intercept weapons, but that’s about it. Annoying but not exactly threatening. And I’m not a great CAS player either, I usually play AIR RB when I wanna play AIR.

Thats the reason I play av8b na with jdams only. Most of a time they seem to be alt tabbed to youtube shorts so I can gain few easy kills by popping up from 2-3km away to drop bombs. In case of mavericks they have more than enough time to alt tab back and intercept them which is just infuriating because after that you go back to airfield to get same results again or match will just end.

Thats the nice thing about the F-2, you can double drop on 4 targets and RTB nice and quick, seems like that “youtube shorts” attention span changes target once they shoot the 1st bomb

Not dying and beeing effective are two different things, the later you are obviously not.

Did I claim to be effective? If someone like me who doesn’t play CAS can just jump into a plane and knock off a few of those “OP” SPAAs at will with a weapons system I’ve never used before then CAS mains have no excuse.
You do understand that every game mode has an easy way for bad players to get points so they keep playing right? In ARB that’s Bases and AI, in GRB its CAS

the entire point of CAS is to help your ground units

sure you can drop glide GNSS bombs into spawns but you aren’t having any influence on a game, taking up a teamslot with a ~750SP(?) plane, against SPAA that ground players now get for free, for 90SP, free daily backups for another ~170SP (wow!) and JDAM-ERs aren’t that difficult to intercept anyway.

even at it’s strongest CAS in GRB was never worth it for RP
that’s just silly

I think you are the one coping tbh

Lmao, so you are GNSS bombing some afk AA’s and claim CAS is so easy ?
I hope i don’t have to play with you as a teammate.

Then why were there so many players jumping into CAS at first opportunity if it was not worth it?

  1. Everyone hates campers
  2. It’s just fun

Having no nametags makes playing planes far more enjoyable.

Which is hilarious, I see people here cry and moan about the new AAs being too OP and cheap to spawn, and then I see in actual battles CASbots that fly in a straight line at high altitude. Just because you spawned in a plane does not mean you are entitled to wipe the entire map and win.

Fun.

“durr I get to spam fire and forget missiles and bombs at people without even giving them a chance to fight back so that means I am better than everyone else”

People who play CAS would 100% be crying if they were on the reciveing end of a SU34 wiping the entire team 5 minutes into a game after getting 1 kill and a cap.

Sure. Had nothing to do with the fact they could bomb and missile enemies from a distance often outside of the defenders range. JUST. FOR. FUN. SMH.

ChatGPT on the forum is wild

because Kh-38/Hammer/LMUR etc. was the only CAS ever in War Thunder?

Quite literally the only thing you see in top tier. Not even 5 mins in and he now has over 11 kills.

So as always, our entire team gets wiped by FNF missiles by one person 5 mins in, and we get steamrolled.

10+ kills before shot down by me. But ofc it does not matter because we are already getting spawn camped.

Oh and ofc they immediately come back in a SU 30 and begin steamrolling anyone left again,

I’m sure he’s getting his easy RP for … ?

There were tons of CAS in the air from BRs 3.0-7.0, and they were getting plenty of kills - wiping out tanks before going back to reload.

Might be different at the top tiers, but against guns, CAS always had a huge advantage. So maybe you were right - it probably was FUN for them, bombing tanks that could not defend themselves and strafing the mostly open-top spaa.
