the entire point of CAS is to help your ground units
sure you can drop glide GNSS bombs into spawns but you aren’t having any influence on a game, taking up a teamslot with a ~750SP(?) plane, against SPAA that ground players now get for free, for 90SP, free daily backups for another ~170SP (wow!) and JDAM-ERs aren’t that difficult to intercept anyway.
even at it’s strongest CAS in GRB was never worth it for RP

Which is hilarious, I see people here cry and moan about the new AAs being too OP and cheap to spawn, and then I see in actual battles CASbots that fly in a straight line at high altitude. Just because you spawned in a plane does not mean you are entitled to wipe the entire map and win.

People who play CAS would 100% be crying if they were on the reciveing end of a SU34 wiping the entire team 5 minutes into a game after getting 1 kill and a cap.
There were tons of CAS in the air from BRs 3.0-7.0, and they were getting plenty of kills - wiping out tanks before going back to reload.
Might be different at the top tiers, but against guns, CAS always had a huge advantage. So maybe you were right - it probably was FUN for them, bombing tanks that could not defend themselves and strafing the mostly open-top spaa.
Kinda like how you see people whine and bitch on the forums that WW2 CAS is too strong, then you see those same ppl ingame and they literally sit in one spot whole game when they play SPAA.
Spawned a Mi-28 not even 4 minutes into the game, entire team wipe worth of kills in under 6 minutes of total game time. Finally gets shot down after 3 minutes and getting over 12 kills just to spawn SU 30 and kill everyone in spawn.
Idk who is complaining about WW2 CAS but they just suck at the game. WW2 CAS is increadibly easy to deal with while also taking actual skill to do unlike top tier that’s just, as I just experienced and showed, get a few kills and then team wipe with FNF missiles. Especially with helis that can pop up, fire, land and reload, and fire again in under a minute compared to WW2 CAS that gets only a few bombs and then takes minutes to come back.
I’m a top tier CAS hater, but I appreciate WW2 CAS players.
After nerfing CAS, there are a lot of CAS players kicked out due to skill issues andare not able to respawn the other plane. just like Darwin’s theory of evolution, CAS players are suffering this, but it seems SPAA players are still staying in place or even degenerating.
Due to a little bit of CAS buff will let SPAA players or ground vehicles only players complain over and over again, and because some of CAS which looks like “OP” cause the whole CAS system get nerfed, SPAA players will lose all such kind of easy kill targets. Free SPAA and more advanced SPAA won’t let them get any benefit, on the contrary, will let them over-reliance on advanced technology rather than honing one’s own skills (like brain death).
So it is better give back even buff the CAS system and add additional free fighters to force such players break free from this dependency, CAS has nerf over and over again, but seems they still can’t get anything from this
