Please for the love of god, can the A10C be moved down to 11.7 or even 11.3 in GRB. There is zero reason for it to be 12.0. It is already incapable of any kind or range, AIM9Ms are borderline useless unless the target is between 3 and 4 KM away. Mavs suck, guided bombs suck due to range, 30MM gun barely touches things due to nerfs. With the Leviathans update, it is completely unplayable. You can’t out energy and of the new missiles, can’t out turn them, can’t out range them, can’t flare them. What is the point? I love this aircraft, but it is completely and utterly useless thanks to gaijin.
Tbh even 10.7 sams(tunguska) wont have problem touching it
Seriously though. Especially with the radar control screen now, it can detect and auto guide to all the mavs with no issues.
Is there recent gameplay I can watch, either from a youtuber or anyone to see how bad or good it does in the current GRB. I checked youtube, but there are no recent videos after leviathan update. I don’t have the A-10C either sooo yea.
Nahh. Don’t do that. Those are cherry picked most of the time. 90% of the time the A-10C ends up facing the Pantsir and maybe yhe SLM. So it’s borderline useless. Those things are dangerous against something like an F-15 or F-16, especially the SLM
But…
People matching 11.7 and 12.0 SPAAs with GRB 12.7 planes:
GRB 12.0 planes at the same time:
Pretty sure the a10’s just a moderate/good gimmick plane at this point.
If there’s enough terrain for the a10 to close the distance too the new spaa, It can destroy them with ease. But any time its out in the open, its basically dead no matter what.
Though i wonder if it could equip harms? Might be a bit better suited to the tdm we have lol
Tunguska can’t touch planes that can fire 65Ds and equivalents, it’s physically outranged.
In case of A-10 - it needs to get into range of tunguska. Otherwise agm65 may miss even static targets
65D is definitely usable from 9-10km away.
Tunguska at that range is useless.
from normal plane - yes.
with A-10 - no.
aswell as you can intercept them easily
You can intercept them, but you can’t intercept the plane.
Placing A-10C even remotely close to 10.7 would be extremely bad idea.
Yeah it is, then you get a “HIT” on a light tank/T80 roof or it just completely misses
A-10C is definitely at rather bad battle rating and I think this is a compression issue. If Gaijin managed to stretch ground battles battle rating to battle rating 14.0 perhaps we’d have a more suitable scenario for these specialized strike aircraft which in summary are sluggish titanium and steel boxes,
I like Su-39 a lot, but even with some good weapons, which I can’t lie are very good, I still struggle to engage ground targets because it’s a subsonic aircraft and it’s not the best example of maneuverability and speed.
A-10C also doesn’t help itself either, almost same load-out as F-15E which surprisingly is at rather lower battle rating in ground battles compared to other top tier counterparts. Regarding the usefulness of the AGM-65D, is, definitely usable currently, still very effective if you know which target to get specially considering the possible inconsistency of the HEAT warhead.
I must disagree, A-10A Early, A-10A Late, A-10C are all capable of outranging 2S6M1 with ease, 9M311M1 has short operational range and half of this distance the missile lost its momentum and any turn slows it down even more.
2S6 even with the modernization modification 2S6M1 can’t actively intercept the ordnance this is up to the player exclusively, I mean, the radar can’t search and track small targets like bombs, rockets or guided anti-tank missiles.
Only VT-1, a missile usually found at battle rating 11.7, is the best and lowest battle rating option to counter A-10C or any other striker aircraft with AGM-65D due to the +2 Km compared to the 9M311M1, with this missile there’s little to no room for ground strike.
