In light of the upcoming Battle Rating changes which will hugely affect the air Simulator Battle game mode, I have two propositions which I plea for you to consider.
First, please reconsider all the the proposed changes and consider not making any changes. I’m sure there is logic behind them, but it’s obvious that some things were not considered when making these changes. There will no longer be planes on the red side at 11.7. There will be no one populate the other side of the lobbies, and the blue side planes will be forced to play at 12.7 or not at all. At 11.3 on the blue side there will really only be British Phantoms and the JA37C, and they will be eaten alive by the MiG-23 MLD/ML. So on that BR the problem will be the opposite.
Second, If the decision on the Battle Ratings is final, please consider having at least two all vs. all lobbies in all brackets, or make it possible to create such lobbies, so the blue side 11.7 and 12.0 guys can at least fight each other. There are many people who have spent a lot of money on the F-4S for example, and now their mount will become pretty much useless. But it has to be said that there’s no logic in the F-4S being at 12.0 when the MiG-23 MLD/ML is at 11.3.
Don’t take me wrong: I’m not too fond of the proposed change myself (my pet being the F-5E FCU), and I’m especially sceptical about the JA-37D coming down to 11.7, as a TWR/PD aircraft will be tricky to counter for the F-5E which doesn’t even have IFF and no PD. But then it could deal with the PD/MTI equipped Mirage F1’s and Phantoms before, so should be fine…
That possibility was removed about two years ago. That’s why they are “unpopular” because they are rarely created by the game, and is their existence is probably a bug anyway. When I rarely see them, they are usually full.
Why couldn’t they lower the JA37C to 11.0 then… It was already worse than the British tech tree Phantoms to begin with. The all aspect Sidewinders alone are worth a two step difference in BR anyway.
I believe those preset nation setups are there to prevent farming lobbies. The least exploitable type of lobby would be all vs all where entering players are assigned to the side of least players. So from that POV there shouldn’t be a reason why they shouldn’t be allowed.
If its 11.7 then I call total BS. But its 11.3 now and is going from 11.0 to 11.3 in the list. Based upon its ARB rating dropping and the fact its over BRed at 11.3 (even without being the same BR as the Mig-23MLD) I think its a typo and should be dropping down to 11.0
Yeah, the values are obviously just reversed. The AV-8B NA should go down to 11.3 if the FRS.1 goes down. Also no justification of it being at the same BR of the MF1 and the JA37D.
AV-8B(NA)… Will probably be fine at either. Wouldnt be OP at 11.3 but should still be fine at 11.7.
Though I reckon pretty much the only reason its moving up is because of its 10x JDAM payload and the fact it can just delete battlefields. (its that exact ability that is leaving me tempted to get it at some point)
But this must have changed, because a while ago one could also select the all-vs-all setup. (I know because I recently (few months back though, less than half a year) did so by accident once…).
No, it hasn’t been possible for a few years. There are randomly appearing all vs all lobbies, I find these a few times a week and always join, as they offer balanced gameplay.
