A list of the current issues with war thunder, I want your opinions

War Thunder at no point claimed to be historically accurate, it claimed to be realistic.

You should divide the threads by gamemode. Since the answers are very depended on what you play. Otherwise you will not be able to pin an answer post to a gamemode making it useless.

So lets say people find the controls too complex.
Do you then make them simpler in AB or introduce mouse aim to SB (both air)?

That’s the issue.you cannot draw any meaningful conclusions from it.

That’s why i included unintuitive, we need more straight forward controls for the average player. Not fell ream but normal controls

Full real is needed as well, people came to WT for realism.

I’m sorry I tried to say that Full realistic should still be in the game, but that we should have a tutorial or something to set up controls for all different kinds of systems or armament options and have a manual of sorts.

But that the Base control systems should be improved for newer players, so its simple.

Too many points to address, but I’ll give some.

1. spawn camping.
   Matches are short. Maybe players can be force relocated back to spawn like going out of bounds points you back toward map.
2. map design
   Only gripe is Flanders
3. Grinding
   It’s fine. Game is meant to be pickup and play and fun at all BR.
4. tech issues
   It’s not bad overall.
5. Community toxicity
   You’re just a carebear with unrealistic expectations of players in a video game. Talking about toxicity or even using the word is to condemn the playerbase for competitive banter. Not everyone is “good” at it, and the variety of banter exists in reality for a reason. Trying to control it just makes you look like the dumbest person in existence.
6. Comm tools
   Spam filter sucks.
7. Lack of endgame
   Endgame is playing the game.
8. Weather
   More weather would be great. I love the rain.
9. In-game tutorials
   I don’t know if a tutorial can exist to cover every base that exists in this game. The game is also patched often, so info will always become obsolete. Maybe a disclaimer as to what the player is getting into would be helpful.
10. map diversity
    It’s not bad. I actually like repeating maps sometimes because it allows new strats to be tried while you are thinking of them.

Invisible missile is still issues in Jet game

Must be something with your client/machine.
I havent had ghost missiles since they fixed them a while back.

My biggest issue with the game is one word- inconsistencies.
There are inconsistencies in most every aspect of this game. But I love it and the community too much to stop playing.
Probably my two best examples of these inconsistencies are hitboxes and volumetric

Hey, i know i have no control. I’m just saying a friendlier community wouldn’t hurt. there is nothing wrong with banter. But not when flat out calling other people the N word or so on. I have played a lot of Cod in the past with Black ops 2 there is nothing like it,

So, in short I’m just saying it would not hurt, and it goes beyond “hurtful” comments. Some go after other players and are chat banned as result as they should.

there could be intercept patterns or just flat out dogfight tutorials, so new players don’t eat dirt

its just too bad gaijin simply shrinks the play area of maps instead of changing them, so where you end up with corridor maps

I would happily jump ship if there was another game following war thunder concept, but better ofc. I would happily pay even 20-30 euro for that. But since gaijin has a monopoly on this game concept i cant. soo i make due.

Lol IDK if I’d do that I’ve put to much time and money into this game. I think that the devs can fix most if not all this stuff.

only hope we have is another player up-rise or another competitor starts to compete with war thunder. Then gaijin will probably either Die or it will be forced to improve real quick

You really need to get over this. Chat rules, restrictions, and penalties just add to “toxicity.” You either remove yourself from an environment you don’t like, or you put up with it and participate how you choose to. You don’t go in and tell everyone to disperse to new places where you then invade again and do the same thing again. You will just ruin games again and again. I have already seen great games die to this.

I don’t think I’ve heard of players casually scrolling that, and most of the stuff there are just hit with acknowledged and left for 4 years, untill gaijin gets boored

Don’t get me wrong i like how chats are, I just don’t want to see the N word flung towards the nearest player who killed them. or any other racial or national insult.

Most of the time chat is tame and fun.
