The first vehicles would just be APC, the IFV would appear later (in the form of vehicles like the HS. 30 or AIFV-B-C25) by the BR of like… 7.3 maybe? By that BR both APC and IFV would combine and fight side to side.
There are APC from the 40s. WWII definitely can offer them. And again, IFV would obviously not appear in WWII, but later.
Well I mean, not all nations have early IFVs, and that could be a problem. I guess Gaijin could use some prototypes in that case.
Yes, one of the main points of this idea is forcing players to coordinate, which can be something quite hard to achieve, but if you make victory depend on those IFVs and APCs I think tank players will realize they gotta cooperate.
Problem of that would be that everyone would just bring tanks, since they can just do the same as IFVs and APCs. The idea is to give troop transports an essential role that other vehicles can’t fulfill. It can be frustrating, indeed, but more polishing needs to be done. I believe offering new gameplay alternatives would end up making the game somewhat less frustrating (as long as you work with your team).
If they don’t spawn IFVs how would they win? The point is to also make capturing points much more profitable, so I think there will definitely be enough players with IFVs/APCs.
