A-4E early can not liftup in sim with bombs

today i tried to take the a-4e early in air sim, but with partial researched moduls i was not able to get liftof

Use takeoff flaps you also get a rocket booster on takeoff if you J out and respawn

not even then i was able to have liftoff

Just bring less bombs

shouldnt a aircraft be able to at least have liftoff with enough bombs for a base

You are half stock you dont get to complain about not being able to takeoff with a bombload intended for max weight IRL

Try to hit the brakes before taking off, then release brakes once the engine is fully pushing.

After 3 seconds of rolling press your rocket boosts.

And right before taking off, pull flaps down.

Limiting drag while reaching speed, and having full thrust at the moment you start rolling.
RATO’s are to be used once the aircraft is moving, or you’ll loose that power.

Try that, and if it doesn’t work, can you show us how many modules do you have?/your loadout

i just tested, its not easy with stock vehicle but absolutely possible.

  1. set SAS to dampening.

  2. Start engine, lower canopy and full throttle.

  3. Hold brakes until the plane starts to roll by itself and then let go.

  4. When the speed is at just below 200km/h start the takeoff boosters.

  5. A few seconds after boosters are ignited put flaps to takeoff (and NOT before then as the drag they create makes you accelerate to slow)

  6. pull stick back to about 80% (or just a bit more if needed)

  7. liftoff!

  8. retract gear asap

You can make custom loadouts i own the A4E early i know this

the a4e when given a massive amount of bombs when not spaded has trouble lifting off in 2/3 game modes just switch out the outer pylons bombs with the 6x 250 lbs

yeh, deleted comment, i misremembered.

Just tested again, i maxed out the carrying capacity, i brought max fuel, i uninstalled ALL modifications so i was running full stock vehicle (so this isn’t even a feasible loadout as you would have SOME modules if you have access to all the bombs needed to mac out carrying capacity).

it was WAY harder but i still managed to take of on first try using above mentioned method.

The higher the elevation of the airfield, the more important fundamentals of flight are.

  1. Hold breaks, spool up
  2. Set take off flaps
  3. Don’t use your JATOs until you’re at V1 (half way down the runway)

I never had a problem taking off with the A4 but that doesn’t change the fact it’s pure trash. Have fun bombing bases visually because you get no CCIP/CCRP capabilities and you better hope you see the enemy before they see you.

Afghanistan map?

the a4 DOES have CCRP

Not in the HUD, unless they’ve changed that.

its the panel with the red and green arrows to the side I believe, although its very hard to use and the CCRP was actually meant to be used to toss bomb tactical nukes …lol

These arrows are for carrier landing ;)

First of all i want to thank you all, i have learned much and i have now successfully have liftoff thanks guys, you all are awesome

These indicate the AoA of the plane

The A4 does indeed have a CCRP but it is not indicated by the arrows, it is normally indicated on the radar screen in the middle of the cockpit (this CCRP is very different from the others in the game because it rather indicates the opportune moment to drop the bombs using the radar terrain tracking curve, it does not allow the automatic dropping of bombs)
