A 10, and some other striker planes

I think this plane in all variations is unballanced, is really slow and start with others from the airport.
Sometimes i arrived to end of the battle or to big predominance.
In my opinion it would be better if it can start from the air on strikers spawn and arrive to battle in the same time with other team-mates.
Thank you for considering it.
Best regards

Its a CAS plane so its not gonna be good in AIR RB

OH yeah A -10 gets 4 AIM9l in 10.7 and it can face 9.7 jets with no flares

You just skipping his point??? He is talking about having an airfield spawn with everyone else and not getting to the battlefield in time before the match is basically over/decided.

As for facing it with no flair’s, why would you need flairs to boom and zoom an A-10? Unless you try to dog fight it and end up eating an Aim-9 well thats kinda your own fault really.

They were suppose to add a forward airfield spawn for slow ground attackers but it never materialised, real shame, would have been a good but fair buff for many.

But unfortunately, ARB is designed to be anti-strike aircraft. its a real shame. I would suggest maybe looking into Air Sim, far better environment for ground attackers

See that hora guy as Alvis the 2nd. Don’t even have to reply lol

Though that was a thing: A-10 can pull, away from you when you attack, towards you before you attack.

The first thing happens a lot when e.g. the good old 9.7 MIG19 climbed and dived to an 10.0 A10 around 2 years ago. The 19 is not good in aiming and there were usually multiple A10s. If he missed in the first attack, he’s overshooting and dead. No dogfight needed, or sayin, if he dogfights he may be too close for 9l and survive longer, should the A10 not use the GAU8.

The 2nd thing happened in the same eg, when our 19 didn’t clear up all A10. Be in furball, 9l comes. Be in 1v1, 9l comes. Be anywhere that can sneak through an A10, 9l comes. Not in all situations can 19 run without caring 6, nor should a single A10 have the power.

The thing still happens in some matches till now, though BR had been indeed modified to greatly reduce it.

I hope all attack aircraft can remove AA missiles and restore frontline air resurrection. Why do attack aircraft compete with fighter jets for air superiority

I see your points but considering that was 2 years ago I don’t see the issue with boom and zoom. Come from the side or the back, if the A-10 is alert and turns just turn the opposite way and maintain your speed you should get outside of AIM-9L’s range in a matter of seconds before the A-10 even has a chance to lock you.

From what I whitness playing the A-10 is 90% of players just try to head on fight you and loose. A-10 has all aspect 9L’s and a big gun and still people try to head on the thing which is rather foolish to say the least.

What do you expect from a A-10 in air battles honestly?

Gaijin was suppose to give them the forward air spawn when they were moved up. Unfortunately for us, Gaijin’s approach to things put them in a worse position now despite stating they were already performing terribly to begin with.

Moving them up was an asinine move and probably the biggest cover for a skill issue I’ve seen in this game so far. They weren’t hard to kill if you did anything besides flying low and to the left. Hopefully they get their air spawn soon or are moved back down to their original BR.

TIL not being able to dodge an Aim-9L in my 9.0 was a skill issue. I can’t fathom why anyone would want them to be moved down, because it just undoes the minor bit of decompression Gaijin did.

I think it would be hilarious if they were moved out more, purely because I believe they ruined the entire 7.0-10.0 bracket.

It is. Considering the era we are talking about where the biggest threat at the time was strategic bombers and a large portion of aircraft in game were developed to hunt them donwn; I don’t know what else you would call it when 98% of every lobby flies low, and flies left. Especially when that puts you in the area of operation the A-10 and the Su-25 do operate in.

If these airframes had the capability to fire their defensive missiles in any direction besides the one they were looking in, then I could maybe see the opposing argument here. But they can’t. And as someone pointed out, a lot of players like to head on them for some reason. Seems like a good way to lose a fight.

Now, I’m only saying they should be moved back down IF they aren’t going to be given the forward airspawn they were suppose to get when they were moved up. If they do, then they don’t need to go back down. But if Gaijin isn’t going to, then I am 100% for them going back down. They were already performing terribly according to Gaijin so this whole “they’re suppose to suffer” carriers no water.

If it was during the time when 9L takes a HUGE lead that pulls itself away, it was not that much an issue
But after that 9L became normal, and went flr resistant, 30g etc.
I would say an a10 need 4secs to turn 90deg back after defending, which means an 1ma craft can go 1.3km. Extend it to 6s, it is at most 2km. 1.3 is the sweet zone for 9l while 2 is not too far, while using the gau8 when an enemy overshoots is quite often used since that range is not that often achieved.

About the side attack, was only able to pull off 2 or 3 headon 9Ls during the months with 19s. Inapproachable zone…

Think about a 2v2, 2 no flr early Gen2 (9.3~9.7-ish), and 1 early Gen2 and 1 a10, and learn about the effectiveness of 9L.
Why not use the speed? Enemy supersonic combined with all aspect 30g 9L will get you and answer

How hard it is to do that ?
I’m pretty sure I have a clip of me dodging A-10’s 9L with my MiG-19.

You used to be able to do that when the A-10 was released because I’ve done it in the Lim-5, but that was before Gaijin buffed the 9L.

Right now, 9Ls shouldn’t be at any BR below 10.3, especially on a plane that can’t be killed by IR missiles unless the pilot is bad.

Gaijin buffing already strong missile.
When did that happen, do you know by any chance ?
