9K317M "BUK-M3" conitnues to hit behind cover with chaff and flare spam

I don’t know what is going on but recently even behind mountains and cover the BUK continues to connect when chaffing and flaring? Turned completely 90 degrees from the missile and somehow it’s still able to track me behind cover with the flare and chaff spamming.

It is happening consistently when facing the buk and it doesn’t matter how low or how I turn it continues to connect in scenarios where it shouldn’t even be able to.

This is one small example I have there are more but for the sake of time I am using this one. It doesn’t show but i am spamming flares and chaff here

so you dont know how to notch properly?

you know that you need to change your altitude to defeat the IOG, bc otherwise it will still get close enough to just nuke you with its ~50kg of TNT equivalent

and it can still see you “behind” mountians because it comes from above

I notched it, this one photo doesn’t even shot the entire process it goes through comes from above doesn’t mean it should be able to track when chaff and flares at low altitude works against these. Even the IRST is easily avoided and doesn’t hit like the BUK

*IRIS-T
and that one isnt ARH but IR+DL+IOG
so not really relevant

if you would have wanted to terrain mask you shoud have flown above the river from the start so that there wouldnt have been LOS

and notching isnt just about spamming flares and chaff in a 90° angle
because if you do that you can breadcrum the missile back to you, just like you can do with IR missiles

that’s literally all notching is, 90 degree, spamm here and there and you will avoid any missile except the buk. Only spaa is the buk any other aircraft or spaa this works but not the buk.

that is not true
becasue that way you wont defeat the IOG even on the A2A missiles especially on the 120D and Pl-12A that dont have IOG drift

Literally 90 degrees, fly low, chaff a bit here and there and the missile is gone. NEVER had an issue with ANY 120D or PI-12A. Never had an issue with any SPAA or A2A missile doing this except the BUK.

so you are multipathing them
not notching

for a notch you dont need to fly low, but multipathing wont work on a missile with an explosive mass equivalent to around 50kg of TNT and a 25m proxy fuze trigger radius

what am i reading

whatever you call it, in basic GRB CAS simple as fly low, 90ish degree chaff and flare then done. EVERY single missile and every single spaa this works on but BUK hits even behind cover when maneuvering. Even the japan type 03 easily avoided except the BUK

i mean thank god you manage to avoid the type 03 when its one if not the worse top tier spaa

We’re talking GRB not ARB, I’m not a ARB main nor do I care for it so all the vocabulary you use I don’t care for the simple fact is BUK is drastically always hitting me in GRB.

It is the worst spaa at top tier. Yet, somehow the only spaa I have issues with hitting me game after game is the BUK

ok and ? its literally the same in both arb and grb

so then idk bc the Type 03 and the Buk missiles basically have identically seeker code when it comes to notching them
with the important ones being those:

so you just have a case of confirmation bias

It is not

you can leave the forum whenever you please no need to fill it with nonsense

yes it is

Faster ARH missiles are harder to notch due to the relative speed difference being greater and the Buk is significantly faster, which makes a difference.
