8.0 GRB borderline unplayable

Every single game of any 8.0 is always at least 8.7, more often 9.0. The stupid 1.0 uptier BR obviously doesn’t work.

Umm… I’m pretty sure you just pointed out that the “stupid 1.0 uptier” is working perfectly fine… 😂

BR compression makes 7.3-9.3 hellish

I don’t like silly statements like this. It all depends on your line-up. For example, if you’re using a 8.3 vehicle like the ZT3A2 or Falcon, or you’re using an 8.7 vehicle like T-55M, or a 9.0 vehicle like BMP-3 (or Object 279 if you have it), then you don’t care about uptiers ever. In fact, you often welcome them. Some vehicles will suffer more in an uptier, such as the Maus, M103 (basically any heavy that isn’t the Object279). This is why we have lineups - you choose the vehicle that suits the BR and map. You’ll find me playing 9.0 USSR or 8.3 Britain most of the time (and Sweden 8.7 is just saw-weet).

Definitely some compressed spot’s in a few of the tree’s. regardless of your vehicle’s your up tier’s will be your new standard.
Sucks but decompression and possibly going to .7 + or - would fix most of these

my favourite BR is 7.7 britain. other than fox and the unfinished mess that is Scimitar its a 1954 tech lineup facing things from as recent as the 80s while hammering the hell out of ww2 tanks in downtiers. its both unfair for people below to fight stabilised APDS (when you actually get spalling) and unfair for you to face APFSDS and ATGM/rocket spammers. BRs around this area need to be spread out significantly.

the fox is the only vehicle I can say benefits from uptiers in my lineup as there’s lighter armoured stuff to kill, but now you need to face XM800T which is you but stabilised and quieter.

brother its either a centurion, an abbot with a spaa turret or the CVRT/CVRW we don’t have an option for some maps

Cent is a vehicle that handles uptiers quite well, so world’s smallest violin for you there. But Britain 7.7 has other uptier friendly vehicles, such as Eland. I prefer 8.3 Britain, though. Better off uptiering Fox into it. Falcon/ZA-35 can be used all the way to 12.0, as can ZT3A2 with its tandem-warheads (it’s like a wish.com AFT09 with much better thermals. Just received a buff with the ammo box).

the cent handles near enough everything well. it still doesn’t have a hope sometimes, APDS sucks

That’s where we differ. I’m an APDS fanboi. I choose it over HEAT-FS every chance I get.

i hate HEAT in WT but shell shatters are more frequent than they were not too long ago and I’ve had several matches in a row where I have had zero spall from APDS

Personally I think it is because the 9.0 BR is the new refuge for getting the highest BR possible without being absorbed into semi-modern cold war vic & CAS hell. Particularly the 10.3 Russian premium vacuum which, especially around sale time, is very prevalent and painful to fight in a FUT. As a consequence, ~9.0 becomes its own vacuum for 8.0, a BR where tech is beginning to get modern but is missing a lot of the creature comforts that the full uptiers get i.e. LRFs, Two-plane stabilisers, Thermals etc. The thing is with 8.0 itself is that, as a BR, its not that much better than what comes before it. Getting uptiered into 8.0 doesn’t usually suck too badly unless you’re going up against early [SACLOS] ATGM slingers.

He’s talking ground RB not air.
Ground 8.0 is already decompressed.
8.0 tanks use to face what’s now 8.7 far more often.

It isn’t. An Obj 122 shouldn’t be 0.7 above a Leopard 1 or AMX-30, but it also isn’t 0.3 worse than the XM-1 (GM).

In 0.7 BR steps you jump from unstablized MBTs with APDS/HEAT to fully stabilized MBTs with APFSDS and other hints of modern tech like thermals, laser rangefinders, APS, and some composite armour and ERA.

Object 122 uses a modified APDS round.
Stabilizers aren’t instant win devices; they’re really useful for sniping, and that isn’t common in WT.
They’re marginally better than no-stab in CQC.
And thermals are useful in forests… which are a handful of maps, thus are a 0.3 BR bump almost always.

Laser range finders are the biggest increase, but even then map familiarization closes the gap there. 0.3 BR difference most of the time, especially by those BRs you’re familiar with the maps.

8.3 is quite pleasant though, aside from fighting gaypards.

They’re reallly useful all around. Simply being able to not have to slow down or position yourself right in order to shoot at a target while moving is such a huge advantage. They are more useful in cqc than when sniping too.

They are not, because non stabilized tanks can’t shoot accurately when moving. Sure you can position yourself side on to mitigate gun wobble, but that isn’t possible all the time. They also allow for quicker shots against enemies.

Stabilizers are the entire reason why centurions are where they are, and why the Sherman’s are considered so good.

Fair enough, but it’s still a very good tank at 8.7, but it certainly isn’t on par with other 9.0s.

My AMX-30s, Panthers, TIger 2s, and M26 looking glaring at you. ;)

A moving enemy tank is also harder to hit where you want.
Of course, this doesn’t mean you should rush every stabilized tank, but it means that if you’re in a non-stabilized tank with a stiff suspension, you can force more engagements than not.
