I find it very unfair that only Britain and Russia can put together a full 4.7 lineup.
Most nations have hardly anything at all between 4.0 and 5.0.
Japan has the Chee-Toes. Italy has a Sherman and a Stugetti. But yeah…
Japan has 2. ---- 3 with the premium chi-nu.
Italy has a tank destroyer and and Sherman.
Russia has 2 t34’s. - - 4 with the premium ones. They also have 2 KV’s and 3 tank destroyers - 4 with the premium one.
so thats 10 compared to 1 or 3 max…
Britain has 9.
USA has 1 premium 4.7.
There is a BIG gap in the matchmaking that only favours 2 nations.
It cuts both ways really. You can get down tiered but also uptiered to the full BR level depending on the player nations the matchmaker puts together.
Germany got a tons of great vehicle between 4.0 and 5.0. You can defintely put together a proper line up in Germany.
Nice complaining. Now what’s your solution?
Lots of 4.7 material here, sure…

I meant 4.0, but you can simply pull some 3.0+ vehicle in the TT and bring it up to the 5.0 line up.
Pak-puma not being a part of techtree is straight up criminal. No light tank in the 4.0-6.3 range hurts German TT a lot.
That’s still not how the BR works. Yes, you can subsidize, but all you are doing is adding inferior stuff to fight things it will not truly be capable of destroying; this does not mean it cannot it just means its less capable of doing so.
ahh yes, using your 4.0 vehicles for a 4.7 lineup, for some reason…
germany only has 1 4.7 vehicle, the pak puma, a very rare and mostly used in the hands of EXTREMELY good players, hence why statshark is showing the stats like that, because there are only 1 vehicle its only gonna show that ONE vehicle.
also youre using global stats, as of may germany has a 52.9% compared to the UK’s 52.4, the one weird outlier is japan with its only vehicles being chi-tos and somehow getting a 54.1, just normal japanese main things i guess.
You can easily make a full 4.7 lineup with Germany. The Hetzer and Jagpanzer IV are both absurdly strong at 4.3, and still so at 4.7 (tbh they should be 5.0 or 5.3 minimum). The performance of the M44 and Flak bus doesn’t really change when uptiering them, and the wirbelwind and ostwind are both very competent even up to 5.0.
To be fair, the Chi-Tos especially after their mobility buff are extremely potent vehicles, perhaps the best 4.7 medium tank even compared to the T-34-57.
ya the chi-tos are good, but thats all you have for the most part, outside of the chi-nu 2 premium and the m24.
I mean, 2 is more often than not enough for a match if you can do well. But yeah, I just wish Gaijin didn’t have the dumbass plan to “rebalance” the Chi-Ri, which basically resulted in it being nerfed into the ground especially by putting it up to 5.7. It was completely worth it to BR yourself up to 5.0, because there are nearly no 6.0 vehicles especially in the TT and after they silently buffed ready rack replenishment, it made for such a great vehicle.
You’re correct. 4.7 used to be a much better BR to play than it is now. (still good but…) The “decompression” of the BR ranking is partly to blame. Another factor is how thin some of the factions are even with all the cut and paste work. You might have one or two decent vehicles in your set but after that your dropping down to 3.7s or 3.0s pretty fast.
But then you’d have to move the KVs and the T14 up as the IV and to a lesser extent the Hetzer are the only vehicles the germans have in this range that have some survivability. But then you run into the the IS-1 and the M6/T1 so that doesn’t really work. Things are fine as they are.
The Hetzer and Jagdpanzer IV are already long overdue for being moved up.
