2S38 to 11.0

Weird that apparently you still can’t perform with them, even though they are so broken.
Altough thats one of the very few tanks which is indeed broken and you still suck with it, gg bro.

How well a large portion of players can perform with a vehicle shows the general effectiveness of that vehicle. If a vehicle is good for BR, you’d expect that the general KD for that specific vehicle would be greater than a vehicle that isn’t good for its BR.
Of course, there are other factors that indicate how good a vehicle is, but general KD is definitely one of them, although KD can be influenced by other factors too.
HSTV-L, at the moment, is pretty good against Russian and Chinese MBTs, but it falls flat against NATO MBTs (because of their lack of unprotected ammunition racks). The HSTV-L seems to have similar post-pen damage as the 2S38, but has 1.5s reload instead of a 0.5s reload, as well as only have 26 shells.
Of course, I 100% still agree that the HSTV-L is generally better at destroying enemy tanks than the 2S38, but the giant gap in BR, especially considering the HSTV-L cannot act as a pseudo SPAA, is questionable.
Even if the 2S38 gets uptiered to 10.3, like you said, I can’t see how the HSTV-L would be 1.0 BRs higher in capabilities than it.

Yes, KDR of 2S38 for 1 player would be significantly higher than HSTVL, Begleit, or Strf 9040C if it was OP.

11.7

no it would be higher if not any idiot with mommy’s credit card could buy it.

Easy to see it checking out clickbait and friends or any premium for that matter

denying the obvious and so… ;)

That doesn’t impact KDR on players that play everything.

@sartt
So begleit to 10.7, Strf 9040C to 11.3, and HSTVL to 12.7… got it.
Not necessary.

but it does impact the Performance because of … that buy it “look futuristic ru tonk, must buy”
it ruins entire br brackets because those people doesn’t know how to play it use it etc

Why should the hstvl 12.7 ? makes 0 sense 2s38 would beat it in all regards except apfsds pen iirc
and bagel 10.7 ? sure if we get the apfsds round the helicopter warning and the 720hp engine back
I do wonder what you smoke all day long…

HSTVL is faster, smaller, better gun & ammo, better optics, with identical protection. The only downside is thermal generation.

Weird of you to defend 2S38…

Begleit is currently 1 BR lower than where 2S38 should be.
Begleit is as fast as 2S38, same armor, TOW missiles, similar optics. Only downsides are worse thermal generation and no APFSDS.
Giving Begleit APFSDS would make it at least the same BR as 2S38, but because it’d be better than the 2S38 due to TOWs it’d probably 0.3 BRs higher than 2S38 with APFSDS.

You’re missing the fact that the 2S38 has a much faster reload, more ammo, and has IRST with proximity shells.

defending the 2s38 ?
When i say that it would have way better stats if not everyone and his mom could buy it after downloading the game ye makes sense

But you are back to twisting the words to make them fit your opinion

IRT and proximity shells don’t increase its BR as it’s already above 9.3.
Reload doesn’t matter too much.
And 2S38 has the same first stage as HSTVL has ammo.

IRST and Proxy shells very much should increase its BR as it allows the vehicle to counter air targets, in particular close flying Heli’s/Planes, which is a huge deal given how lightly armored the HSTV-L and 2S38 (supposedly) is

Reload matters a lot when the HSTV-L has a 3x the reload time when it only has 20% more penetration than the 2S38 (about 50mm)

and finally
Same first stage *But about 120 more rounds than the HSTV-L total, allowing it to engage with significantly more targets overall

Its anti-air capability already has increased its BR to 9.3 [and beyond for APFSDS]. However, IRT [no search functionality] and proxy cannot be more effective than that.
2S38’s BR is currently 10.0, above its anti-air capability.

So by that logic, the LAV-AD should be 9.3? Since it has no Search mode, and replaces the Proxy with Stingers? It also lacks the APFSDS and its “rockets” are a joke.

And the HSTV-L down to 10.3? Since it doesn’t have ANY SPAAG capabilities and only has APFSDS with no IRST.

LAV-AD is 10.0 due to its anti-air capability. You forgot that it has Stingers, which on their own is 9.7, with a gun that’s 10.0
HSTVL is 11.3 due to it being the fastest tank in the game, among the smallest, well armored for what it is, great optics, and of course 1st in class gun handling.
Not sure why you now want 2S38 to be 9.3…

Pretty sure he mentioned it has stingers, don’t think he forgot…

Isn’t the same gun found at 8.3 on a Bradley? Or am I mistaken, haven’t checked in a while

The HSTV-L sacrifices any SPAAG capability for it’s size and speed. What the HSTV-L lacks in fire rate, ammo selection, and IRST, and LWR, it gets back in Gun Handling, Pen, and Speed.
The 2S38 has similar armor if not arguably better armor than the HSTV-L thanks to the Fuel Tank in the way of the crew. Yeah, whatever, “side shot and its dead”- that’s the same with the HSTV-L crew placement. It has slightly better optics than the 2S38, but has significantly worse Thermals than it (Gen 1 on HSTV-L compared to 3rd Gen Thermals).

Overall, these two vehicles are absolutely close to the same capability wise. What one gets, the other doesn’t, and generally speaking the split of this whole “what one gets the other doesn’t” is 50/50. Overall, they shouldn’t be 1.0 BR spread apart- at most, .3 would probably be reasonable. If that means moving the HSTV-L down, so be it- but their BR spread is illogical for the capabilities each has.

It is different. the Gau-12 has less pen (66mm HVAP compared to the Bradley’s 81mm APDS) but a much higher fire rate. It is by no means, however, a 10.0 Gun.
