Leclerc armour was just not great
Just because it went to service during same time doesnt mean Sweden recieved production model.
Now sure first batch Leclerc’s armor wasn’t great compare to STRV122 or M1A2 but upon from S2 all models recieved improved protection, especially with the introduction of SXII armor protection increased a lot.
Saying its armor is bad based upon zero solid evidence is just outright pointless.

It was a production one though there is nothing to suggest otherwise it is known that the Leclercs armour wasn’t that great.
Why when there are production Leclerc in service send a prototype with worse armour to a trial
The Swedish trials which were done of production early batch Leclerc?
Swedish trials doesnt mention exact armor values only claims production is not matured enough which tells more than your claim on armor.
Not to mention Sweden was looking for quite armored tank instead of nimble,fast and agile one which is where Leclerc shined, that’s why they proposed armor kit for Leclerc S1, hell they even did the same thing with M1A2.
Leclerc was never supposed to be as armored as those tanks, while first batches offered solid protection for its role its armor protection increased upon later models due to new threats.
Comparing 55 ton (early batches total mass) to 62-64 tons of tanks and saying armor is not great is not logical.
Have you even seen the Swedish armour trials

I saw the numbers m8 try not the act cocky.
They shared numbers on 122,M1A2 and the whatever model Leclerc they recieved for trials.
There is a reason why armor kit was offered for the Leclerc model they recieved because the version they tested didn’t satisfied them just like M1A2 didn’t but does that mean M1A2’s armor is also not great?
Even then they didn’t gave us exact values on every aspect.
Not to mention UAE Leclerc’s that saw real combat proved their armor protection capabilities by effectively stopping enemy projectiles and protecting their crew.
Anyway it seems whenever someone mentions about Leclerc or Rafale you seem to get upset due to some personal issues, sadly not my problem.
It helps, since a lot of the guns are way less accurate than they should be. But on the IFV I’d literally take proxy over AHEAD any day. Hell if the Begleit had a lock on function it would be a better anti air than the PUMA.

I still take one belt AHEAD ammo whenever I’m playing PUMA WTJF in case I ever need it, even tho it doesnt work half of the time like you said.
It should’ve been a non premium event like other prototypes while the current event T-72 could’ve been a normal premium instead.

Ahhh, PUMA VJTF. “Nothing, nothing, nothing, hit, nothing, nothing, nothing, hit.” Fairly sure it’s the same for other IFV using the 30mm and AHEAD. Slow fire rate, super inaccurate gen with lots of dispersion, on top of that while better it still feels buggy.
Proxy is just, better on almost every level. Which feels super backwards since AHEAD is the upgrade over proxy. Meanwhile 2S38 just uses proxy shells that function different and is an absolute menace.

AHEAD only works if you have high rpm, otherwise it feels like you’re shooting solid shot and expecting to hit anything with that inaccurate tracking mode.

The Leclerc is pretty solid. It doesn’t suck.
I have given up on playing top tier quite a while ago but it used to have the worst dart and the fact the autolader reduces crew down to 3 and you armour is unreliable really does not make it that good. sure it’s an alright tank but there is a reason I stopped playing them before I spaded them. It’s just not fun
The dart and autocannon protection are a bit annoying at times, but otherwise 5s reload on any tank just feels great.
Unfortunately Abrams exists which is better in every way…
