Please make 2025 the year Gaijin really focus’s on Maps.
This is specifically related to top tier.
I get people like their CQC Maps and I’m not saying they should be remove from the game, but just make larger maps in general please or reduce the player count or something.
Make a larger map with CQC in the center line of it with a forward spawn for people that want to go straight into the action and a back spawn or side spawn for people that are playing tanks that don’t support that playstyle, or that just don’t like that play style.
Almost like Normandy but on a larger scale for MBT’s.
Literally anything other than forced CQC every game for every nation would be lovely. I’m no game dev but I’m sure a balance is possible.
We could also be a bit due for some more modern-ish maps, maybe more progressing maps (like flanders, how it changes with BR), and definitely some larger maps. I feel sim could benefit from using some tighter maps, maybe a CQC map set in a dense city and alongside that map a larger scale map that has viable sniping positions with a decently populated central area, bringing the best of both CQC and LR. I think it would also be better if maps like Sweden looked as though there had actually been a battle going on beforehand in the area rather than it looking almost pristine
Just dump all CQC map in high tier all together most of people who like CQC map are mostly premium one death leavers not the real players.
What CQC map offer better for game play in high tier anyways? when laser rangefinder thermals optics are mostly not being use much because most of the time you fight around the corner of city blocks there one thing that CQC map offer is spawn CAS faster which is not good for GRB health anyways
Just yeet all small maps into arcade mode for people who want to play them there are no places for such map in realistic battle.
I mean, I would love to see f.e. co crete blocks on Alaska actually destroy tonks when dropped on them. I have always enjoyed using the environment to get the kills and IMO WT lacks horribly in this aspect Dynamic weather impacting the gameplay would be a nice addition.
This game needs more large maps especially for high tier battles. Attica has been a major disappointment. My suggestions are for ground maps.
Here we go:
Alphabetical map lists when selecting like, dislike or ban maps/modes. Should be a simple UI fix correct?
A map mode selector. Choose between large or small maps. Choice of domination, capture or conquest modes. Not making a choice defaults to all maps/modes.
No more maps with a single spawn location, every small map should have a minimum of 2 spawn locations. Large maps should have a minimum of 3 spawn locations. (This should have been done years ago.)
Add AI targets on larger maps so there is some activity before pvp starts. These can be anti tank gun or anti tank missile emplacement targets. Can also add defended fuel or ammo locations. Catching advanced scouts or recon units before they can retreat. Secure a location and rescue downed pilots in a crashed aircraft. Maybe a crashed large transport plane or helicopter. Again, these would all be AI targets with the ability to target and destroy players. This might mitigate some of the complaints about lack of action before pvp starts on large maps.
Agreed about more destructible items. Yes please.
As been mentioned, more dynamic weather events, heavy fog, snow, rain and dust storms. Wouldn’t have to last for the entire battle. Thunder and lightning please. I believe Gaijin mentioned weather effects are coming.
Time of day changes. Dawn to day where the day gets brighter as the sun rises or dusk to evening where the sun starts setting.

Could not agree more. Grow the number of vehicles yet limit in what they can do on maps. Pacman tunnel everything. Take away 3d - no climbing anywhere.
Why add more vehicles of they are all same limited? I dont like the arcading RB and I see no logic in this. Nor do I think does anyone. Add more vehicles and limit the variability in maps. Makes no sense to me.
as they can’t sell maps or have any impacts on sales i highly doubt we will see anything above the usual.
we will get another flat maze like thing with limited distances, so the brawler tanks can have a field day, and the rest can goes kiss the north end of a southbound duck.
Maps will continue to be CQB knife fights in cities because there isn’t a mod to replace the minimap with subway surfers so a lot of people lose interest over the prospect of having to drive in a vehicle game.
It’s very clear that map design and changes favoring CAS is the strategy that has been decided on. Maps are being shrunk to keep ground vehicles close together to make easy targets. Similarly with city maps & maps like 38th Parallel & Attica, which consist of canyons that force ground vehicles into limited, predictable places. Then we have the removal of large trees from all maps to leave ground vehicles even further exposed. Many maps provide no cover at all for AA.
So sad that our only best map Rhine has more diversity and more flexibility to be played in than most ~225m gridders with only a little actual width needed. Many other map are just made to increase the drive though decrease the amount of lanes, making No Man’s Zone and Frontal-Onlys
Yeah that’s a good point. When I say large maps I’m thinking of something that can provide multiple play styles. Long range engagements, flanking possibilities and areas where there is CQC. Unfortunately it seems gaijin prefers small maps with quick battles and the continuous dominance of cas.
