2025, The year of MAPS

Map rotation in this game leaves a lot to be desired. Just got the same map in a row 4 times and quit before the battle started each time. Crew locked 4 separate nations. So tired of one spawn location conquest maps.

Increase the map bans/likes/dislikes and stop butchering maps.

Las time they added a map they made an attica

Maybe it’s a good thing they do not make new maps…

I’d rather have more maps than vehicles this year. Odds are there has to be a few decent maps.

If you are suffering from this problem, a good idea is to change the server selected. I think the theory that each server loads the same maps in a given timeframe, to reduce stress on servers, is logical. Therefore, if you select other servers, you will get more diversity of maps.

All i want i for Gaijin to make a tool or a mod where players easily can create rough maps.

Then they can submit them to Gaijin and they can play test them (lol), give the good ones to a map team who makes them ready for the game and reward those who have made a good map (its cheaper to give a poor sod some GE than to have your team to start from scratch with every map)

Seeing how modding is huge in other games, i bet there will be some (not me, im useless at it) creative persons who will make some great maps.

This way we will get more and cheaper maps.

Ive posted this before, and i honestly think it could work.

You would think that would work. But then you remember the vast multitude of bug reports on vehicles, where most of the work is already done by the players, but Gaijin frequently takes years to act upon it anyway. Or even ignore it entirely. That probably gives you a slap in the face.

anything is better than 2-3 half-arsed maps a year.

If Gaijin could save a lot of money AND make people happy i can’t see how it wouldn’t be an improvement.

but knowing Gaijin they will try and sell the bloody tool for money.

They cant improve anything related with maps even something so simple as map rotation is a full dissater in this game.

Thanks for the suggestion and I’ll try it next time.

I’d like to see a destroyed Sun City map where a good portion of the buildings are leveled/flattened. Similar to Berlin, Advance to the Rhine and Stalingrad. Create some craters, mounds of rubble but open it up a little more. There’d still be a portion for the CQC fans while also providing a different play style for the rest of the players. Might allow vehicles not made for CQC a little more viable in Sun City.

It’s a decent sized map so I think this might open up the map a little more and reduce the amount of CQC. Not a game designer but I’d think a good portion of the work would already be done for them.

A couple other maps I’d like to see get flattened are Sweden and Cargo Port.
Thoughts?

Edited for punctuation.

Who else would like to see the map from The Great War event added to the map rotation? I think this would be a great map to play with vehicles from other tiers.

This is literallyTHE map that can not under ani circumstace be added to normal map rotation. Its one big open field, it will not work in normal game with normal tanks

Gaijin has recently been making adjustments to maps that have been in the game for years so with some changes to the Great War map it could be doable.

Forward spawns as capturable points is something that I’ve been suggesting forever, it’s the solution to cutting driving times in larger maps and giving people instant action.

What happened to this map? Havent seen it in ages , has it been restricted to certain BR ranges?? probably onme of my favourite maps ever.

It was removed from the game, sadly

that sucks…

I had many good moments in Winter Fortress, shame they got rid of it, it was a perfect map for low BRs.

And regarding new maps and the “rework” of older ones, I don’t know what they’ve done besides ruining them (turning them into one-way meat grinders), but I get low FPS whenever I play on them, even on minimum settings. This, however, doesn’t happen with old maps that haven’t been touched much.
