Can you explain why something that will literally not affect you at all is making you angry? How is the game adding more preset slots going to negatively affect you a single iota?

It’s already been explained, many times in this thread and others. I don’t know what kind of bad day you’re having to come crap up a thread about something you have no stake in is, but I hope it gets better for you man.

You clearly are, this would be like me going into a thread about arcade battles and telling people they are trolling about whatever they want when I never play nor plan to play arcade. Either way thanks for the bump I guess. Keep embarrassing yourself.

Its also unfortunate with the nations without navies yet. China for example, you’re limited to 14 slots maximum.
Definitely need a lot more than the current limits.

Since you dont need presets for planes unless you are the odd one that actually plays air arcade, we can use all the presets except one(the one for air RB or solo playing to spade a tank) for ground and naval BUT…
We barely had enough lineup presets for all the possible BRs you could play before this major update if we decided to completely ignore tier i/ii coastal since its just bloatware(nobody plays them since you cant grind events there and there are barely any tier i/ii event coastal to drive people to populate those BRs during events)
AND NOW WE DONT EVEN HAVE ENOUGH PRESETS FOR NAVAL AFTER DECOMPRESSION???
Just give us at least four more presets Gaijin, having more preset for 6.3-6.7, 7.0-7.3 and 7.7-8.7 instead of having to swap the vehicles around would be definitely a good QoL upgrade, and for non naval players it means more possible BR presets for their tanks

Since Gaijin keeps adding new tech, BRs and eras, it would be undestandable to increase the number of presets.
UI seems to be a showstopper as it curently can display 14 (?) presets at a time; and since it is one of the things in this game in a dire need of refurbish…
Cmon Gaijin, you can do it!

Especially if you follow Wingaling’s advice:
With america, each preset for me has…
- Navy fighter
- Army fighter
- P-38 or other nose-gun fighter
- Dive bomber
- Strict BnZ thingy
And presets are nice because it lets you quickly scan different BR ranges for lobbies.
Don’t need to touch the UI at all, if the added 10 or how ever many more preset slots nothing would need to change as you would be able to access the bottom ones via the drop down menu already in game.
As you can see from the thread some people are pretty much insane and will find any reason to oppose things so its probably best to not even give them them one.

Since people seem to think I’m trolling or don’t understand I’ll try to explain myself as best I can as to why I would like to see more preset slots
Here’s what I have with the 18 afforded to me for the 2 nation I play GER/RUS
These are all my GRB presets, that I also use for ARB. Currently for Russia im missing all of rank I/II, 4.3, 5.3, 6.3, 7.3, 8.3, 9.0, and 10.7. For Germany I’m in a similar situation. That’s just GRB. I don’t have any presets for naval, which would be at least 3 for each nation, I don’t have any open/random preset slots, any preset slots for ground sim brackets.
Every single one of the preset slots you see in the pic I’ve spaded, or in the processes of, I’ve experted everything or working on that too. I’ve bought camos for every vic that has them that I like and are semi/historic. I’ve spent a ton of time thinking about what vics to bring in each, and I do go back and play them sometimes, hopefully more often now that im done grinding everything but SL for expert crews. Everything is organized MBT/Heavy>Medium>Light>TD>SPAA>CAP>CAS>Bomber/Heli as well.
I’m not asking for unlimited slots or an insane number. Just upping from 18 to 30 would cover realistically everything anyone in this game could ask for. I enjoy putting together presets, having an easily accessed button I can just click on and have what I want to play ready to go. I do not want to rip apart presets constantly, or take the time to put them together constantly when I shouldn’t have to. And I honestly just like having all the lineups I’ve invested time and money into up on my screen.
Every time there is a decompression patch I usually lose 1 or 2 presets as well and that just really sucks, along with the natural progression of increasingly higher BR vehicles.
And again for the IDK how many’th time more preset slots is already supported by the UI, no changes will need to be made to the current UI other than allowing more preset slots, it will work on console even. If you don’t have more than a few preset slots and haven’t seen it, here you go:
Notice how it stops at 6.7 GRB on the bottom bar, but you can access the rest in this dropdown menu after hitting “Presets” button? The only thing that would change is the number allowed.
So I’m not trolling, I’m not just having fun on the forums, I do want more preset slots and have genuinely run out of them. I really did spend 40 dollars on 2 coastal vessels I’ll probably never use unless naval gets to a better state just to get two more slots.

I really don’t get what the issue is here.
For everyone that doesn’t use more than 18 lineup slots, additional lineup slots DO NOT AFFECT them in any way. So why be against it?
For everyone that needs them it’s a nice QOL improvement. Regardless if they want to place the same 8 tanks in 20 different crew layouts or they want a lineup from every BR from 12.0 to 1.0.

Originally some people may have thought it was going to require gaijin to change the UI to support it, I think I explained it as well as I could as that is not the case. Only thing I can think of is maybe it requires some kind of extra resource on gaijins end to support more preset slots but I don’t know the details there, and if that is really the case just let us buy them the GE can cover whatever im sure, or add requirements that only some people can meet like # of spaded vehicles etc. so its not every throwaway account taking up resources.

The “presets” on the bar should be thinner, so more of them could be clicked instantly, without clicking on “presets” button.
Small QoL change that would be nice to see in game
They could make it once you have 13 preset slots they get stacked 12x2 in the same space. That way it doesn’t affect anyone but people that have a lot of presets.
