18 preset slots is not enough

And considering most people will only have 16 instead of 18 if they dont “buy” them via coastal/blue water premiums/event vehicle at rank V, not to mention this might not be an option for some nations.

I simply do not have enough preset slots to run all my GRB lineups for rank I to rank VIII, let alone have room for naval. Aircraft can be sorted well enough by just using the GRB presets to access whatever BR I need for them + an open random tab to shuffle stuff around.

I’m at the point in Germany where I’m going to have to shitcan lineups just to make room, same for Russia and I haven’t even finished Russia like I have Germany.

I’d easily pay 5 dollars for a single extra preset slot at this point, it would be extremely worth it to me but its impossible. The only thing I can do is spend ~60 dollars to get 2 more preset slots for russia buying vehicles I will never in a million years use. Its depressing. I like being able to just click on whatever BR I want to play and have all my vehicles sorted and just hit To Battle!.

Too many new vehicles, BR decompression etc. for us to have the same amount of presets we have had for so long now.

Jesus you don’t need a line up for every single br. Just do what I do for germany I I have Top tier 8.3, 7.7, 6.7, Panther Party, Low Tier, Aviation and boats thats more then enough for almost all good german battle ratings.

thats like 80% of the tree just being filler, I had to grind that shit im gonna put it in a lineup and use it every now and then. Variety can be fun sometimes in small doses.

But I want to have separate lineup for all brs

I’m failing to understand why so many presets are even necessary in the first place.

Every single BR or not, 18 presets isn’t enough for anyone who likes to play a wide range of vehicles at different BR ranges.

Its a completely arbitrary, unnecessary restriction.

This does not make any sense, considering the time it takes to create a lineup from scratch is trivial, a minute or two at best. It seems to me like all this is a solution looking for a non-existent problem.

Its completely unnecessary time.

Its like if they had restricted custom loadouts to 4 presets. Yes you could manually edit them to what you want between matches, but its completely unnecessary.

More presets would be a valuable Quality of Life update.

Having more presets wouldn’t add any value at all, IMO. It’s not even comparable to vehicle loadouts, which have an actual use in a match. It seems quite arbitrary that a self-imposed problem needs to have a solution to it. And even then, wouldn’t that mean you’re being haphazard with 18 presets and not managing them well?

Just because you don’t personally see a use, doesn’t mean other people don’t as well.

Its only self-imposed by War Thunder, set arbitrarily to 18. Even 20 would be a step forward, a small step, but a step nonetheless.

No, it just means I like to play a lot of different lineups. That’s the whole point of War Thunder, the variety of vehicles you can play.

WHY THE FLIPIDY FLAP DO YOU HAVE 18 CREW SLOTS

The problem here is

This. And

This. I fail to see any situation where 18 presets fail to cover the depth of your wants, especially since I can almost guarantee some presets are only a few BR steps away from each other and even some made as memes (one that can be done by a 3 second drag.) If this is being asked for because this is how you’re organizing them, I dare say you aren’t using them efficiently.

And preset “efficiency” is completely ridiculous.

Really have to make sure the players aren’t being wasteful and are using their presets efficiently… /s

To be clear, I gain or lose nothing in this discussion. Whether it occurs or not affects me none, I simply find it absurd.

There is nothing stopping you covering the wide range of BRs, but there’s no need to create a new one only one or two BR steps away (that is assuming you are doing it this way.)

Now that I think of it, there is a plausible reason for this restriction, and that is server memory storage. For those who may remember, Gaijin was looking to set expirations on backups and wagers as player inventory took up stored memory, a reason they gave later after backlash by the way. So now there’s a good reason to say no to this.

You should definitely be able to purchase more with GE or something, after you’ve unlocked every single tank in the tech tree. That’s about the least Gaijin could do, and it seems like a remotely sensible patch.

Clearly…

Generally speaking, presets help me manage ‘experted’ crews. It’s definitely not necessary but it’s useful to manage and plan lineups when you can have all the different presets prepared.

It doesn’t take more than 30-45 seconds to switch vehicles around if you wanna use other set ups. That’s why presets even exist to cover all of your mainly used vehicles. Honestly I understand its mildly frustrating to have to switch them around but its really not that bad.

Realistically, I don’t know why there’s a limit at all unless there’s some kind of profile memory restriction.

If you’re looking for suggestions, I was initially frustrated when I discovered the preset limit, but then I started saving the lineups I enjoyed the most.

4.3 Germany was a preset I didn’t expect to enjoy but I found a reliable companion in the Jagdpanzer IV and built a lineup around it. I put a ‘*’ in front of lineups, the more stars the more I enjoy the lineup and it helps me know which lineups are the firat to be replaced if I want to play something a bit different.

I want more presets for different BRs for tanks and planes in Arcade. It is uncomfortable to juggle vehicles on and off because there are not enough presets. I am not even bothering with ships because of insufficient presets! I am willing to pay some GE for more presets. Just do it, Gaijin.
