WHY THE FLIPIDY FLAP DO YOU HAVE 18 CREW SLOTS
The problem here is
This. And
This. I fail to see any situation where 18 presets fail to cover the depth of your wants, especially since I can almost guarantee some presets are only a few BR steps away from each other and even some made as memes (one that can be done by a 3 second drag.) If this is being asked for because this is how you’re organizing them, I dare say you aren’t using them efficiently.
And preset “efficiency” is completely ridiculous.
Really have to make sure the players aren’t being wasteful and are using their presets efficiently… /s
To be clear, I gain or lose nothing in this discussion. Whether it occurs or not affects me none, I simply find it absurd.
There is nothing stopping you covering the wide range of BRs, but there’s no need to create a new one only one or two BR steps away (that is assuming you are doing it this way.)
Now that I think of it, there is a plausible reason for this restriction, and that is server memory storage. For those who may remember, Gaijin was looking to set expirations on backups and wagers as player inventory took up stored memory, a reason they gave later after backlash by the way. So now there’s a good reason to say no to this.
You should definitely be able to purchase more with GE or something, after you’ve unlocked every single tank in the tech tree. That’s about the least Gaijin could do, and it seems like a remotely sensible patch.
Clearly…
Generally speaking, presets help me manage ‘experted’ crews. It’s definitely not necessary but it’s useful to manage and plan lineups when you can have all the different presets prepared.
It doesn’t take more than 30-45 seconds to switch vehicles around if you wanna use other set ups. That’s why presets even exist to cover all of your mainly used vehicles. Honestly I understand its mildly frustrating to have to switch them around but its really not that bad.
Realistically, I don’t know why there’s a limit at all unless there’s some kind of profile memory restriction.
If you’re looking for suggestions, I was initially frustrated when I discovered the preset limit, but then I started saving the lineups I enjoyed the most.
4.3 Germany was a preset I didn’t expect to enjoy but I found a reliable companion in the Jagdpanzer IV and built a lineup around it. I put a ‘*’ in front of lineups, the more stars the more I enjoy the lineup and it helps me know which lineups are the firat to be replaced if I want to play something a bit different.
I want more presets for different BRs for tanks and planes in Arcade. It is uncomfortable to juggle vehicles on and off because there are not enough presets. I am not even bothering with ships because of insufficient presets! I am willing to pay some GE for more presets. Just do it, Gaijin.
I concur. 18 is not enough for the big nations when you like to play multiple BR’s and modes.
I would happily pay for them too.
Having a line-up for multiple BR brackets I found to be pretty handy for finding sim lobbies without sacrificing flexibility.
This is my american presets:
This is very handy for very quickly filtering through lobbies without getting overwhelmed by irrelevant information from “show unavailable.” If I end up doing missile jets, it’ll quickly turn into 8-9, 9-10, 10-11, 11-12, 12+
If I also started doing line-ups for ground should I ever start doing american ground, I’ll quite likely run out of presets seeing britain is looking like…
Might ditch the 4.7 line as 5.3 offers roughly the same experience while having all t3 vehicles for BP.
You might even go for gimmicky line-ups like “Every 4.3 german SPG in a single line-up for SPG tasks” or so forth.
More would be nice. I would have to re-do my presets every time they do br changes. Sometimes splitting one into two just to not get uptiered too much.
I’m sure everyone plays the game differently.
When I started I just went from one lineup to next spading them, started with 6 crew slots, 4 ground vics and 2 planes, moved to 7 for an extra bomber/heli later on. It just felt wrong tearing those presets apart, they are for a given BR the best lineup you can have (with 7 slots).
Here is 12.0/top tier Germany, I know the mig29 is 12.3 but it’s a lot more fun to fly than the phantom and I don’t mind the slight uptier especially now with the new BR changes (need to grind new puma to replace vilkas, I like the PSO over 2A6, and germany really needs stuff besides MBTS at top tier). But on the bottom there i can click any BR I want and I have everything set up, the best vehicles I can possibly bring, everything has marketplace camos I like, they are experted (if i can afford it), everything except the lineup in the pic is fully spaded, and everything is set up nicely.
Even then I have to hit presets key to select 3.0-5.3 lineups. There no room for naval, or outside of GRB lineup planes like the su27 or yak141 in Russia, except a single “RAND” tab I have to use for stuff like that. Also I can’t make presets for rank I or II stuff at all except the 3.0 one I have.
I’m going to be that guy once again and point out you have some tabs that are one BR step away from each other. It looks entirely excessive and cluttered. They are all set for GRB as well, so you have no tab to move to Air or naval at a single click, to which you have mentioned.
For reference, Germany has 6 tabs for me. Three for West Germany and three for East Germany with air, ground, and naval for each. There is no need to split BRs, my crews of 6 have specific spots they go to.
Setup reference.
-Spot 1 (Light/Medium or Battleship)
-Spot 2 (Medium/Heavy or Heavy Cruiser)
-Spot 3 (Fighter)
-Spot 4 (Attacker/Bomber/Helicopter)
-Spot 5 (SPAA or Frigate)
-Spot 6 (SPG or Torpedo Boat)
When I feel like switching BRs, I move associated vehicles from the tree, a process that takes a minute or so. There will never be enough tabs for me if I chose to organize that way and would clutter my UI. Instead, I chose to organize by military organization, like so:
To reiterate, unless the limit is due to server memory reasons, it does not affect me in the slightest if presets are expanded. Or, if we want to be fair about it, have presets that hold subcategories for easier filtering.
Why should this be a problem in the first place? Why not give everybody 50 Slots? Don’t see the problem, would be a easy fix.
Mate why the hell do you have 18 presets? (Not u specifically) Your logic is like trying to count how many letters are there in Alphabet soup.
For those of us that play with people starting their grind. Having more Presets would be nice.
LT Navy (Baby navy),
BBs (… BB’s),
Playne (Fighters, low BR),
A 1.3 (A13s for those peeps just starting tanks, or to screw around for fun),
2.7 Hedgefund (Hedgehog/Crusaders),
4.7 Flame Bae (4.7 Brit, need I say more?)
5.3 (TBF this is more like 4.7 + Comet + AA)
7.7mm Donk Donk (Its kinda funny. I don’t have the Donk on this after I spaded it, But it does have my Cent 5/1 + FV4202 which is a better Donk),
8.3 (I want to get rid of this. But I have a dude that has been stuck at 8.0 for ages and won’t play without me online).
8.7 (My brother really for when we want stuff that is more AT tier and not up tier).
Current Max Tier (9.3 that gets uptiered to 10.3 99% of the time).
Bombad (Not shown, but is my late war bombers and some fighters)
This is 12 presets already eaten up. I can see how 16-18 could be rough depending on how many friends and where they are upto in the game.
Something about too heavy on gaijin side with something like memory or whatever with how many accounts there is (millions upon millions) im guessing.
I just wish for extreme cases like me and other people with huge investments into one tree there was a way to get more presets via GE or something. People who NEED more than 18 presets are so heavily invested into the game that paying for more probably isn’t a big issue.
no fucking way the first 3 post including original spell “sus”
