10.3 is a horrible BR filled with defeat, Overpowered CAS, Drones and idiots

It is an incredibly toxic environment where you fight 11.3 vehicles almost every single game, your teams run headlong into their deaths within the first 3 minutes getting themselves killed. We have no defences against Mavericks and Hellfire missiles as our SPAA are outranged by them and smoke does not affect their ability to hit us. Win rates are stuck below 30% and players who do manage to survive are forced to hide and flee for their lives. Playing a vehicle that until recently was 10.0 which saw a fair matchmaking spread…now gets routinely murdered by 11.3’s and now has to regularly engage Combat drones as well…as someone who has played for years…why should I bother anymore when I try to play to survive but get penalised for other peoples mistakes and end up being hunted down by Ground and air assets from an almost full enemy team because my team couldn’t complete the most basic tasks. Surely from a business perspective people paying money for a vehicle in game…to then get butchered to the point they don’t want to play ever again…defeats the purpose of growing the game entirely. I would rather take a stroll across the 38th parallel a few times than continue to play 10.3…landmines included

If it means anything, none of these issues are unique to 10.3.

11.3’s experience the same thing. 12.0’s experience the same thing. Blowout matches, premium spam, CAS oppression… these are ubiquitous problems throughout the entire high/top tier BR range.

Just got to try and find ways to cope and adapt to it the best you can, because it’s not going to change as you progress.

They definetly need to decompress the upper tiers. The full BR uptiers do rather suck, but the rest of it. Arent really issues. Especially with the OSA coming should actually do a fairly decent job to mitigate CAS at that BR.

(personally I think the CAS vs SPAA balance at 10.3 isnt too bad, needs work, sure but compared to 12.0 its easy)

Combat drones are one of the most baffling additions to the game, how did anyone think it was a good idea to add a vehicle for just free kills with no proper counter and no requirement for it.

That… I do agree with. A recon version as a stop-gap for the lack of higher tier IFVs we had (for scouting). That would have been a fine addition. But the strike drones are just annoying to deal with if nothing else.

Sadly thats the normal top tier experience from 9.0 and forward, most of us are used to it and we dont even think about it anymore, we just play

And it’s also a waste of spawn points because after the two kills you can’t do anything so it’s bad for the pilot and the affected players.

That’s why you pretty much only see people use it as a last spawn if they have enough sp because it is useless, and for a new player, the controls can be somewhat cumbersome to learn. Things like missile range, having to launch the missile at certain angles and just firing the missiles can be a learning curve. Basically you only get people who have one vehicle in that lineup using them.

11.3 (former 11.0) is a gem, either you get always full downtier battles or full uptier battles. SPAA x CAS depends on what are you playing against. And drones are easily outranged by and SACLOS missile guidance SPAA like the 2S6 Tunguska, which, despite a 0.4 BR above, will fight some times at 10.3.

I would much rather see my own BR of 10.3…

I agree. Everying over 10.3 is not fun but I gotta be honest its a players issue not game issue. You can’t change the way unexperinced players play so all you can do is avoid playing those BRs. These sale i did a mistake and bought the T80UD. Its good but my playstile is just not made for the +10.3 gameplay. I always recommend to buy rank 5 premiums maybe rank 6 and have fun with grinding all you need in them.

Try 4.7, two minutes into the match theres an entire air battle in the sky. Yak-9s and HS-129s have more populations than tanks in ground realistic games. I really think they shouldnt allow CAS until a BR like 6.0.

I think lower CAS should still be allowed, but I would really like to see a limit on how many planes can be in the air at once. Maybe like 3 per side?

The poor SPAA dudes who are trying their best just get completely swamped when half the team is in planes. Everytime they fire they advertise their location to other CAS who come and destroy them. Certainly doesn’t help most lower SPAA easily die to strafing alone.

Good point. I think setting a max amount of planes in the sky would make it less crowded, but then CAS would just feel like arcade. CAS in lower tiers really needs to be fixed as i think its been getting worse over the years. I cant stand seeing 5 planes in the sky, killing tanks more than tanks can kill tanks.

Literally had a match earlier at 5.3 where there were 5-6 Yaks up and a surprisingly resilient Pe-3. Was incredibly infuriating.

Because they keep decompressing and it does nothing, they need to change matchmaking to .5 spread

Yeah, the CAS spam gets pretty crazy.

Had a game yesterday where there were so many planes up on our team I collided with another guy as we were going after the same tank. Both laughed it off (literally couldn’t see each other at all until impact).

The latter half of battles just becomes unbearable if not borderline impossible to play tanks. It’s like that Nemo seagulls mine mine mine meme for CAS lol.
