10.3 British Ajax Is DoA

My bad, I only quickly scanned over the Boxer once in the last couple days to see how it looked performance wise.

I don#'t want to be that guy but I spade all my tanks without using GE so expecting to die alot while using stock ammo is just how it is. But if you want to be that guy to go after my stats then enjoy. I’m an average at best player.
My stats don’t dismiss the fact I’d rather have APS and spikes then not.

Have you even played that tank??? can’t find it on your stats.

Puma? no

But if you want to look for a similar IFVs with spikes and the 30mm cannon in my stats I have both namers and the KF41 (so the worse puma at the same BR).

EDIT: Also my intention was never to stat shame you, which is why I only mentioned the kills and battles part, but if you are going to tell people this:

Than I have some expectations, especially when spikes come stock on these vehicles.

I stand by my statment. I never bother firing spikes at an enemy tanks face since its common knowlege that the missle tracks center of mass and usually always hits the strongest armour or gun. So you must be firing them at frontal targets is my best guess

I’m not arguing that spikes are broken. Why does everyone care so much about spikes??? All i have ever said is its better to have them then not even if they are buggy. Also its a first for the UK to have such a missle to use which is a bonus for us regardless of there performance.

ngl mate, you should have said this alot earlier.

Honestly what is it with community members on the forums and not been able to see the bigger picture???

Ajax - Decent Gun - Mobility - Poor Optics
CRV - Decent Gun - Mobility - Spikes - Decent Optics - APS

For the UK tree this is a bonus for us not a setback even if Spikes are not working but all you guys want to focus on is the CRV somehow been a bad addition even though in the larger scheme of things its a better “Light” for the UK lineup then the Ajax is, and in saying this, is my reason why the Ajax is DoA and even more DoA with the new event giving us the CRV.

Does one need to state the obvious 24/7? Your having issue with spikes and I find them fine to use. So either its your having an issue using them or potentially firing them at a target with an unreasonable expectation to kill said target, while I like to use them as a backup and to take out heli’s.
Killing heli’s with spikes is way more satisfying then tanks. Perhaps and a more reasonable outlook would be we both play the vehicles spikes are attached to differently.

Remember alot less people get the event vehicles. Ajax still has a place with the brits.

At that point having the 40mm cannon still beats the 30mm + spikes imo.

If you are only using them side on, then why bother with the RNG when you can just shoot and kill said target with your superior cannon as well.

You want me to read your mind?

Nobody here said that they are having issues with spikes, and even your numbers that I pulled up earlier clearly support that they are mediocre missiles.

Also the stock grind reason is a funny one when it comes to spike armed IFVs.

People are expected to properly state their position in an argument if they dont want to be misunderstood, yes.

You should never mention decent firepower, spikes and bushmaster/puma cannon in one sentence. Never. Decent firepower is when you can neutralize enemies before they can react and strike back.
Bofors (40 and 57mm), ctas, 2a90 - those guys can knockout barrel quick enough. And even penetrate mbts armor from front. While bushmaster/puma gun struggles just to paint barrel yellow.
Spikes are complete joke currently. Sometimes all your missiles cant even kill one mbt. Its only good for helicopters which you rarely encounter due to abundance of sams. And if your teammate is using sam they will get heli way before your spike reaches target.
Aps? Please, dont make me laugh. If you ever played lynx you should know its useless. Missiles just ignore it and still kill you. And even if gaijin fixed this, vast majority of your enemies will use sabots. Those are immune to this aps and instagib your tank.

Yeah, exact same feeling, Britain’s 10.X area is absolute peak of our tree. We finally get the vehicles we’ve been after for years… and Gaijin ruins it by rendering the ENTIRE BR bracket, soviet only

Bonus points to Gaijin for their imagination. Where NATO vehicles are underperforming and nerfed because “marketing lies” and “balancing”. While for Russian vehicles internal belts become external, guns with absurd gun dispersion and shake become super stable (Terminator), they get magic wet ammo carousels, fuel tanks less likely to explode because “they use Russian diesel!” and other things.

NGL, this update really knocked things out the park.

Please stick with the topic, Fleur.
There are LAVs in-game currently.
What’s with this false equivalence though?

BMPT should be moved up. Ajax would look better if 2S38 wasn’t the same BR as it.

Edit:

Indeed it is. Despite them being two different platforms, I do believe BMPT to be superior to AJAX.
It’s sad that they’re the same BR.

40mm or 30mm wont make a difference as I stated before. What will make a difference is optics and having spikes for longer engagments
